<br />'r <br />ORDINANCE N0. 74-49 <br />Introduced by: Mr. Prager <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING AND/OR STORING OF <br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLES UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY [dITHIN THE <br />VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD AND REPEALIDIG ORDINANCE N0. 74-18 <br />WHEREAS, Council finds an increasing number of recreational vehicles in <br />use within the Village; and <br />WHEREAS, Council finds the need to protect the rights of the owners of such <br />recreational vehicles and all other Village residents; and <br />WHEREAS, Council recognizes the need to provide for the regulation and control <br />of parking and storing of recreational vehicles within the Village; <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. As used in this Ordinance, a recreational vehicle is a trans- <br />portation structure, self-prope]:led or capable of being towed by a passenger car, <br />station wagon or small pick-up truck, of such size and weight as not to require any <br />special highway movement permits, and primarily designed or constructed to provide <br />temporary, movable, living quarters for recreational, camping or travel use, or to <br />carry such equipment, but not for profit or cocmmercial use. Included as recreational <br />vehicles, but not to the exclusion of any other types not mentioned in this Section <br />are: Trailers; trailer coaches; camping trailers, motor homes; pick-up (slide-in) <br />trailers of recreational vehicle construction, design and intent (as opposed to <br />commercial Sth wheel trailers); boats; boat trailers, with and without boats mounted <br />thereon; snowmobiles; snowmobile trailers, with and without snowmobiles mounted <br />thereon; and truck cabs. <br />(a) Trailers, trailer coaches and Sth wheel trailers are defined as <br />recreational vehicles constructed with integral wheels to make them mobile and <br />intended to be towed by passenger cars, station wagons and/or light pick-up trucks <br />and similar motor vehicles but not including truck tractors of any type. <br />(b) A camping trailer is a type of trailer or trailer coach, the walls of <br />which are so constructed as to be collapsible and made out of either canvas or similar <br />cloth, or some form of rigid material such as fiber glass or plastic or metal. The <br />walls are collapsed while the recreational vehicle is being towed, and are raised <br />or unfolded when the vehicle becomes temporarily living quarters and is not being <br />moved. <br />(c) Pick-up (slide-in) campers and truck cabs are recreational structures <br />designed to be mounted temporarily or permanently in the beds of light trucks with <br />the trucks having either single or double rear wheels and with or without an <br />
