ORDINANCE No. 73- 34 <br />Introduced by: <br />AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE KEEPING OF <br />CONSTRUCTION TRAILERS UPON PRIVATE <br />PROPERTY WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. The term "trailer", as used in this Ordinance, <br />is defined to include any vehicle or structure capable of being <br />propelled from place to place, either by its own power or by <br />power supplied by some other vehicle attached, or to be attached <br />thereto, and being suitable for use as an office, for storage, <br />~~ or any other purpose necessary or incidental to the construction <br />of commercial or industrial buildings. <br />Sec. 2. It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, <br />or agent of such person in charge of the land; to keep, place, <br />maintain or permit to remain upon any private premises in Mayfield <br />Village, a trailer as defined above, not within an enclosed <br />structure fully complying with the ordinances of the Village of <br />Mayfield, except as provided in Section 3 herein. <br />Sec. 3. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this <br />Ordinance, a person, firm or corporation engaged in construction <br />upon a lot or parcel of land in Mayfield Village may use a trailer <br />as an office or place of storage during such construction, provided <br />such person, firm or corporation first obtain a permit for that <br />purpose from the Police Department. The application for such <br />permit shall be signed by the applicant and shall contain a descrip- <br />tion of the premises to be occupied, the construction to be performed <br />thereon, the name of the owner or occupant of said premises, the <br />name and address of the owner of the trailer, the license number of <br />the trailer and the vehicle to which it is or may be attached, and <br />such other information as the Police Department may require. The <br />application shall be endorsed with the written consent to the <br />parking of such trailer by the owner or responsible occupant of <br />the premises to be occupied, and such consent shall be signed by <br />such person. Upon proper application being made, the Building <br />Inspector shall issue a permit for the parking of such trailer on <br />said parcel and said permit so issued by the Building Inspector <br />shall be for a period not to exceed the duration of the construc- <br />tion job. The applicant shall pay in advance as a fee for such <br />permit the sum of $1.00 for each day covered by said permit, based <br />upon the applicant's estimate of the duration of the construction <br />job, paying any additional fee immediately upon the termination of <br />said construction job. <br />r <br />r Sec. 4.
