ORDINANCE NO. 91-29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />ENANCTING NEW SECTION 133.02 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />DEALING WITH THE PETTY CASH FUND, <br />REPEALING SECTION 133.02 AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Auditor of State is phasing in the mandate that <br />local governments prepare an annual financial report using generally <br />accepted accounting principles applicable to governments; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has encacted Ordinance No. 87-39, an <br />Ordinance establishing the number and classification of funds for <br />Mayfield Village; and <br />WHEREA3, the need exists to.classify and define Petty Cash <br />Accounts of Mayfield Village; now therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. There is hereby enacted Section 133.02 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, which shall read as <br />follows: <br />Chapter 133 <br />Finance Director <br />* * * <br />133.02 Petty Cash Fund <br />(a) Petty Cash or Impressed Cash is a sum of money set <br />aside for the purpose of making change or payying snall <br />obligations for which the issuance of a formal voucher, purchase <br />order and check would be too expensive and time-consuming. <br />(b) The following are the authorized Petty Cash Accounts <br />for the Village of Mayfield: <br />(1) Finance Department $ 300.00 <br />(2) Service and Building Department 100.00 <br />(per Section 137.02) <br />(3) Police Department 200.00
