ORDINANCE NO. 2009-68 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Rinker and Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINAI\1CE <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 153.03(b),153.06(h) and 153.15(e) <br />OF THE VILLAGE'S COI)IFIED ORDINANCES <br />PERTAINING TO EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION. <br />WHEREAS, at this time, it has been deemed in the best interest of the financial well- <br />being and the health, safety and welfare of the Village to specifically amend certain provisions <br />of the Village's codified ordinances set forth in Chapter 153 addressing employee <br />compensation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />SECTION 1. Section 153.03(b) ofthe Codified Ordinance ofthe Village pertaining to <br />the hourly rate of pay for employees shall be amended to include the following: <br />153.03 BASIS OF PAY. <br />Notwithstanding the above and the provisions of the pay ordinance, rates of pav for all <br />Village emplovees shall remain at the same rates as those cun•ently being paid in 2009 <br />and shall not be increased in 2010 until such time as the Mayor and Council determine <br />the finances of the Village will allow such increases to be paid. <br />SECTION 2. Section 153.06(h) of the Codified Ordinances of the Village pertaining <br />to the payment to Department Heads for unused compensatory time is hereby and herein <br />amended to read as follows: <br />153.06 OVERTIME. <br />(h) Full-time department heads, the Police Chief and the Fire Chief shall be entitled <br />to compensatory time of one (1) hour for each hour actually worked in excess of forty <br />(40) hours in a seven (7) day work period. The compensatory time authorized herein <br />may be accumulated to a maximum total of one hundred twenty (120) hours. <br />Compensatory time used from this accumulation shall only be used with the approval <br />of the Mayor. The overtime provisions of this subsection are not required by the Fair
