<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />May 16 , 1960 <br />The Council of the Village of Nayfield met in regular meeting at the <br />Toti*n Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding. Roll Call: Present - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer <br />Absent - None. <br />The r4inutes of the Regular Meeting of April 18, 1960, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mre Wedler, that the Minutes <br />of the Regular Nieeting be approved and passed as read. - <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Belzer. <br />Nays - iVone. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved, <br />Mrs. Brown, reporting f or the Architectural Board, said that they had <br />approved plans for 20 homes and 3 additions. Mrs. Broiqn went on to say that <br />she had f igures from the Recreational Committee and quoted as follows: Receipts <br />from registered children $305.01. Gift from Mayfield° Council $250.00.; sale of <br />Orchids $34.581; gift from Grange $25.00; registration f rom Merry Mites and <br />Crafts $128.17; Total $742.76. ' <br />Exp. Salaries $443.00; Craft Nlaterial $268e34; School Board rent $3.50;• <br />Total $714.84, leaving a balance of $27.92 for the 1960 program. There was nothing to report from the Building Co?nmittee., <br /> <br />Mr. Grootegoed, reporting f or the Safety Committee, said that they had <br />talked over the installation of a gasoline storage tank for purchases of large <br />quantities of gasoline at reduced rates and recommended that Council advertise <br />fbr bids for the installation of this equipment and purchase of gasoline. <br />- Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mr. Belzer, then moved that we advertise for <br />bids for the installation of a tank,and pumps on Village property to furnish <br />regular gasoline for village use. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed & Bel.zer. <br />Nays - None> <br />Motion carried <br />Mr. Grootegoed said that the Committee had a request from Chief Shortle <br />that we adopt an ordinance regulating the buying, selling and possession of <br />f irearms. Mr. Edelman said that he would study the matter and have something to <br />present to Council at its next meeting. <br />1.
