<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />September 18, 1961 <br />The Council of the Village of May£ield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presidinge ' <br />Roll Call: Present ? riessrs Zorn, Wedler,Bennett,Brown;Grootegoed <br />-and Belzer, and Engineer Peterson. Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of the Regular meeting of August 21, 1961, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mrs. Brown, seconded by Mr. Belzer, that the <br />Miautes of the regular meeting be appxoved as readP <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennett,Brown,Grootegoed'& Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />' Minutes Approved <br />Maqor Endress then asked for reports fsom the Committees0 Mrs< Brown, <br />reporting for the Architectural Board, said that they had met on Thursday, <br />September 14, and approved plans for 3 hbuses; 1 garage, 2 additions and the <br />plans for a Club House for Pat LaConte's golf course, Mr. Zorn then asked <br />about the Plat plans for this project and said Council should approve them <br />before any permit was issued. Mr. Wieland said that he had seen no plans as <br />yet and had not issued any_permits. Mr. Wieland then asked about the location <br />of the access road planned for this project. Mro Edelman said that Council <br />would have to decide on the location of this road and Mr. Wieland was told <br />to hold up on any permits until after the plan was approved. <br />Mr. Bennett, reporting f or the Building Coffimittee, said.that he had <br />nothing to report. - A4r. Grootegaed, reporting f or the Safety and Service Committee, said <br />that his Committee recommended that Chief Porter see that all our hose - <br />couplings were standard with respect to the other communities on our mutual <br />aid listo Mr. Grootegoed said that this had come up due to a fire in Lake <br />and Geauga Counties and the committee would not like to see a repetition <br />of this fire. rir. Porter said that all of Cuyahoga County was Cleveland <br />Standard and not National Standard. Nir. Peterson then remarked that all places <br />served by Cleveland were Cleveland Standard. Mra Porter said that he would <br />check with•Willoughby Hills and see that we had connections that would serve <br />in that locality. Mr. Grootegoed then recommended that any traasfer of f ire <br />department equipment to the Village be given complete public recognition; that <br />ceremonies be arranged for the presentation of such transfer and steps be <br />taken to secure adequate news and newspaper coverage of the event. <br />'1.
