Febraax°y 20, 1956 <br />The Council of the Village of May.fisld met 1na open meeting at the <br />Town Ha.7.1 at 8:00 P, M.9 Mayor Endress presidingo <br />Ro11. Call: Present - Messrs Suranson' Strater,Brown, Falts & Hopkins. <br />Absent - Mr. Tayl.or. <br />The 14inutes of the regular meet3.ng of Janua.xy 16, 1956, wez°e then <br />raad to the Council. It was moved by Mr. Hopkins., seconded by M,rs. Brown, <br />that the Nlinutes be apps°oved and passed as. read. <br />Roll. Call: Ayes - Messrs Sn,anson, Strater, Browna Falk and Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Ma.yor Endress repox°ted that two items from the latest meeting were <br />still. uncompleted and mentioned the Bla.sting Ordinance and the Disposall <br />Ordinances Mr. Ede]ma.n then presented the Blasting arclinance and said that <br />as i-t was so complicated' although in his mminnd suitable for the Village,? <br />that it should go again- to the Safety Comrnittee for study. He then <br />presented the ordixlance to Mr. strater. - <br />. Mr, Strater repoxrted tha.t Yte had turned the Disposall Ordinance over <br />to the Zoning and Planning Committee for a report, and not havi.ng heard from <br />9. ha,d nothing to x°epoi°t on the mattero NIr. Swanson reported that the <br />thera <br />Zoning and P].a,nnirag Commission had forgotten to take up th+e Orclinance for study. <br />Mayor Endress then asked for repoxts from the Comrnittees. Mrs Hoplfl.ns <br />said there was nothing -co report from the BuilcUng Committee, ancl was advised <br />by Mr. Endxess to keep on top of thirgs. <br />As Mr. Taylor was absent9 there was no report from the Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Stratex reported that he had just received the ].ocations of-the proposed <br />new street lights and was turnj.xig it o4er to the Finance Comrnittee. <br />Mr. Swanson, reporting for the Zoning.and Planning Committee, said <br />tha-t on Februarr 10°tn at a meeting at the ToyJn Ha].l, 2'he Parkda].e' Construction <br />Co. had submitted a preliminaxy drawing of a proposed subd;.vi.sion on Wilson <br />Niills Road9 which they claimed was the same as the final plan which they <br />were ready to pz°esent at this meetirage Mre SFranson said that this pxel.3mana,rj <br />dsaw:i.ng had been. approved bg the Zoning and Pl.anning Commission. I`'Is°. k'riecIman, <br />representing the Parlcda,le Construct3.on Coo, then px•esented a plat signed by <br />our engineer and 14r. Norman Reed of the Zanilg and P7.a.rmi.rig Commission <br />covea°7ng eight lots facing Wilson Mi].ls Road on the South side contai.nirig <br />two streets in°tersecting Wilson Mi71s which could not be completed uzitil <br />the property to the rear had been developed. At the same time, Mr. Friec]man <br />also pxesented tentative p]ans for develop3ng the property in the rear of <br />this subcli.vision and asked Counci].'s approval o£ these tentative plans, <br />althougll he had not as yet gotten togethex° Tdith the property owners o£ thi.s ].aald. <br />?
