It was moved by rlr. Strater, seconded by Njr. Hopkin.s, that <br />the Minutes be approved and passed as_read, <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Taylor,Strater,Wedler,Broim,Falk & Hap1?-inso <br />Nays - None. <br />° Motion carried <br />' Minutes approved. <br />The I1inutes of the Specia7. Meeting of April 23, 1956, were then read <br />to the Council. Tt was moved by Mr. Taylor, second.ed by I1re Strater, that <br />-the Ninutes of the Specia.l I4eeting be approved and passed as reade <br />RoL Call: Ayes - Messrs Taylor,Stratex,lVecfl.er,Browri,Falk & Hopkins. <br />Nays - None. <br />- Motion carried ivIin.utes approved. <br />kt a motion of the council l?Ieeting on April 23rd, T'1r. Ede7lnan was <br />asked to write a letter to Governor Lausche concerning the local government <br />rebate. I`lr. Edelman report@d tha.t the letter had been written a.n.d proceeded <br />to read an answer from Governor Lausclie, thariking us for the let•tere <br />T'layor Endress then read a let-ter from kIre William E, Hare of Ridgebury <br />Boul.evard, asking that- Clhief porter and the firenien be tha,nkecl. publicly for <br />their efforts a'uring Satu.rday's storme Nlro Hare said that the firemen worked <br />so efficiently that there wa.s-a min.imum of damage from flooded basementse <br />Mra Ha.re also asked Council to consider rebuilding the Ridgebttry Sevrer, which <br />was supposed to be 'corrected by 'uhe I-iiLLtop project, but Tahich notiT appears <br />to be too sma.Il to carry all of Mayfield Heights Sewage. The Clerk z,ras asked <br />to write to Ilire Hare and say that this is. a matter for the County Cornissioners <br />and the complaint should be addressed to them. " The matter of relocating Bordonaro's store and the cons?ruction of a <br />gasolis±e station. on the prenuses was then considered by Council. Mr. Edelma.n <br />read a letter zaritten to r'Fr. S. P. Russo of the Shell Oil and Iqr. San.der <br />Bordonaro, ftating that the setbacks on Wilson Mi71s ar.d^SOM Center could <br />not be less than 90 feet from the center _of either roacl; that a clistance <br />of 10 feet was required be-tween any building and the side line of the property; <br />ancl that a perrn:i.t woulcl have to be obtain.ed from the Building Inspeetor to <br />move the store. Yrm Edelman also stated tha-t, as this Uuilcling had been condemned <br />in the past, it would be necessary, fasst to put it in safe condition9 and in <br />compliance with all ordina.nces of the Uil.iage. <br />1.
