<br />M inutes of the Regular Meeting <br />March 19, 1962 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. Mm, Mayor Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Zorn,Wedler,Bennette Mason,Sloan and Belzer. <br />' Absent - Nonem <br />The Mbnntes o£ the regular meeting of February 19, 1962, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved by Mr. Wedler, seconded by Mra Belzer, that the <br />Minutes of the regular meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Calla Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedlern Bennett, Mason, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />M otion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mayor Endress then remarked that at-the last meeting our Engineer' had <br />been asked to check on two problems, the drainage onto the Schultz property from <br />a 72 inch drain coming from the Freeway, and the question of"water on Ridgebury <br />Boulevardm Mayor Endress then read a letter from Mr. Peterson reporting on his <br />f indings on the drainage situationo Mr. Peterson said that he had found this <br />culvert had been constrncted exactly in accordance with plans; that it was <br />designed to take run-off from an area tributary to this structure of 286 acres; <br />that eventually some enlargement of the channel through Schulzes property and <br />an eventual enlargement of the culvert under SOM Road should be made and that <br />the State had created no diversion of waters from outside the natural drainage pattern <br />that existed before commencement of the improvementa Mr. Petersori then gave <br />Council a discussion on water diversion and cited some cases where this was a <br />fact, but said that in this case we would have to take the'water._ The Mayor <br />then asked that the Clerk send Mr. Schulz a copy of this letter. <br />Mr. Peterson then said that he had discussed the Ridgebury situation <br />with the Wates Department and there was a possibility that, if people were <br />willing to pay a higher rate and be in a higher service zone, something could <br />be worked out; 'that this sort of thing all goes by elevation. It was also <br />pointed.out that the people getting water f rom across the street were not <br />assessed. Mr. Peterson said that, as the North side of Ridgebary was in the <br />2nd High Service Pumping District, it would be necessary to start any extension <br />of service bS? making a tap to the existing 2nd High Service 12" main in Lander. <br />Road. Mayor Endress asked that Mr. Peterson get together with a Ridgebury <br />representative and see if anything could be worked out. Mr. Edelman then, <br />spoke of our General Bond money and said that we might use some of this money <br />to pay the Village share of this project. <br />l.
