<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />May 21, 1962 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayf ield met in regular meeting at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 .P, Mm, Mayor Endress presidingo <br />Ro11 Call: Present - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - Noneo . <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of April 16., 1962, were then read to <br />Councila It was moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mro Belzer, that the Minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting be apprqved and passed as reade <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Naqs - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes Approved, <br />Mayor Endress then asked about our Interim Ordinanee which had been placed <br />upon its first readingo. Mr, Edelman said that he had an amendment to this <br />ordinance which had been suggested by the Regional Planning Commission and <br />approved bq the Zoning & Planning Commission. This pertained to access to <br />streets. There was a great deal of discussion in Council about this amendment <br />because of the directive from the State that there should be no. access street <br />within 600 feet of the interchange. This would cut off a great deal of property <br />near the interchange. It was then moved by Mr. Zorn, seconded by Mra Belzer, <br />that a second reading of Ordinance Noe 763 be tabled until further information <br />was.available on this directivea <br />Roll Calle Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Sloan and Belzer. <br />Nays - Mr. Mason. <br />, Motion carried <br />It was then moved by Mrm Wedler, seconded by Mrm Zorn, that a.second <br />reading of Ordinance No. 764 be tabled also. .. <br />Ro11 Call; Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried <br />Mayor Endress then presented to Council a petition signed,by residents <br />on the South side of Wilson M ills Road asking that their property also be re- <br />zoned for commercial use. This petition was then referred to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission f or study and recommendations to Council. Mr, Zorn then told <br />the people that Conncil was in favor of this,_ but that it would need a lot of <br />investigation before anything could be decided, Mayor Endress said that if the <br />North side of Wilson Mills was re-zoned the South side should be considered also, <br />but in looking over the area and thinking of the 175 foot depth o£ the lots in <br />question, a lot of work would have to be done before the Zoning and Plannzng <br />Commission could resoZve this problem, and that the the Regional Planning Commission <br />- should analyze this aream le
