<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />October 15, 1962 <br />The Council of the Village of MayField met in regular meeting'at the <br />Town Hall at 8:00 P. M., riayor Endress presidinga <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzer. <br />Absent - None. <br />The Minutes of tche regular meeting of September 17, 1962, were then read <br />to Council. It was moved bp Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Zorn, that the Minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting be approved and passed as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Zorn, Wedler, Bennett, Mason, Sloan & Belzera <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion carried ? <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Endrass then asked for reports £rom the Committees. There was <br />nothing to report from the Building Committee. Mr. Mason, reporting for the <br />Architectural Board, said that they had met on Septembar 27, 1962, and had <br />considered plans for one home and approved plans for a tool house. Mr. riason <br />then rePorted that he attd Mr. Belzer had been appointed as a special committee <br />to inspect the Leppelmeier property. Mr. Mason then read this report to <br />Council, together with recammendationse The Gommittee had attempted to persuade <br />both Sander Bordonaro and Mr. Leppelmeier to invest in some form of fence or <br />landscaping to shield the unsightly appearance of their land from residents <br />surrounding this property. As aeither party could come to any agseement as to <br />fence or landscaping, the committee recommended that legislation be studied <br />for adoption of a resolution whereby unsightly commercial property could be <br />shielded from residential areas. Mr. Mason ended by saying that the Filling <br />Station should be consider2d in violation and the property of Sander Bordonaro_ <br />rented by others should also be considered in violation; that they had ample <br />time to work this out and legislat?on should be instigated so that we could . <br />control property under similar needs; that this might be given'to the Regional <br />Planning Commission to write up an ordinance. Mr. Edelman said that the <br />Regional Planning Commission are going to re-write..the Zoning Code and it should <br />be done on a comprehensive basiso Mayor Endress asked that he get a copy of <br />what the Regional Planraing Commission are going to submit and incorporate it <br />into an ordinancee We need protection now, said Mayor Endress. Mr. Mason <br />said that this eondition has been here.f or a long time and is long past due <br />for a clean up. , . . . <br />Sandor Bordonaros who was present, was asked how he felt and he said <br />that a fence was not necessary, that a condition did exist, but;the man who <br />rented the property had done wonders; that he might consider some evergreens, <br />. He said_that if there were weeds or junk or some thing, that was one thing, <br />but why put up a fence to please a few people; that this has existed for a <br />1.
