La ~ <br />~~ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />Village of Mayfield Village <br />May 19, 1975 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield Village met in regular <br />session at the Village Hall on Monday, May 19, 1975 at 8:05 P.M. <br />Council President, Frank Prager presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte <br />Absent None <br />Also present were Mayor Leech, Chief Hejcl, Chief Shortle, <br />Messrs., Amendola, Byrnes, Foltz, Hovancsek <br />and Relic <br />Mr. Prager opened the meeting by asking for comments from the <br />floor: <br />George Henwood, 6482 Foxboro - Mr. Henwood questioned Council if <br />something could be done about the low water pressure in the <br />Aintree Park area. He was especially concerned about the low <br />pressure if a fir should occur, would enough water be available. <br />Council has been aware of this problem and it has been discussed <br />with the Water Department. Mr. Hovancselc stated that the property <br />developed on Alpha Drive and Beta Drive are all on the same water <br />main. He has asked the Water Department to check this out but <br />nothing has been resolved. Mr. Ficken asked Chief Hejcl to check <br />the pressure limit to see if it was suitable for fire protection. <br />Mr. Henwood also asked if a home owner could purchase a second <br />meter. Mr. Hovancsek said this is possible. Mr. Henwood also <br />questioned the truck traffic on Derby and Northboro. This excess <br />amount of traffic has been caused by builders in the area, how- <br />ever most of the building has been completed and the traffic <br />should cease. <br />Dr. Gray, representative of Kenwood Homeowners, complained about <br />the terrible conditions of roads in this area. Mayor Leech <br />agreed with Dr. Gray, however, financially the Village is unable <br />to do the work presently but that preliminary work on the catch <br />basins should~be completed this summer. The Mayor also suggested <br />that an assessment can be made to the homeowners. He suggested <br />to Dr. Gray that he would like to meet with a group of the <br />residents to discuss the problem further. <br />There being no further comments from the floor, that segment of <br />the meeting concluded. <br />Mr. Barclay, seconded by Mr. Bennett, made a motion to approve <br />the minutes of the April 14, 1975 Special Meeting. <br />Ro11 Call: AYES: Messrs., Barclay, Bennett, Bluhm, Ficken, <br />Mrs. Negrelli and Messrs., Prager and Schulte <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />
