M_ITtUTE5 OF THE SPECZAL MEETING <br />Vil.lage of Mayfield <br />January 2, 1974 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in special session at the <br />Village hall on Wednesday, January 2, 1974 at £3:05 p.mo pursuant to <br />notice given to all merrJDers of Council, according to law. Mayor Beebe _ <br />presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was gi-ven. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mayor Beebe, Messrs. I3enriett, Bnrdonaro, <br />Leech, Mrs. Negrelli, Messrs. Prager <br />and Schulte <br />Absent: None <br />Also present were ri7essrs. F3yrnes, Relic, fiovancsek, Amendola, and <br />Chief Shortle. <br />Mayor Beebe read a notice from the office of Virgil E. Brown, Cuyahoga. <br />County Board of Elections, stating at the November 6, 1973 ger.eral <br />election held in our town, the i'oilowing Councilmen were elected: <br />Alan G. Bennett, John D. Leech, Patricia A. Negielli, ar_d Robert E. <br />5chulte. , <br />Mr. Byrnes administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Bennett, Mr. L.eech, <br />Mm.' Negrelli, and Mr. Schultem <br />: Mayor Beebe asked for nominations for President of Council Pro Temd <br />Mr. Bordonaro, seconded by Mr. Schulte, nominated Mr, Leech. Mr. <br />-L_Bennett, seconded by Mr. Prager, made a motion the nominations be <br />closed. <br />Roll Cal1: AYES: Messrs. Bennett,Bordonaro, Mrs:-.Negrelli, <br />Messrs. Prager and Schulte <br />1VAY5: None Motion Carried <br />ABSTAINED; Mr. Leech Nominati.on Pa.s -sed <br />Mr. Byrnes administered the Oath af Oi"fice to Mre Leech for the <br />President of Council Pro Tem. <br />Mayor Beebe read a letter (see attached) dated J anuary 2, 1974 <br />expressing his sincere regr ets that due ta business responsibil.ities, <br />he was asking Cauncil to accept his iesignation from the office of <br />Mayor of Mayfield Village. <br />Council as a Whole introduced Resoltuion 851, entitled; "A RESpLUTION <br />ACCEPT:LN.G THE R,ESIGNATTON OF ROBER`i' G. BEEBE FROM THE OFFTCE OF MRYOR <br />OF THE VII.,LAGE IGF MAYFIELD:" <br />Mrd Schulte, seconded by Mr. Prager, made a mation to suspend the <br />rules of law requiring a Resolution be read on three separate occasior.so <br />`'----?
