319 <br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING.OF COUNCIL <br />I <br />Mayfield Village <br />March 9, 1987 <br />The Council of --Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, March <br />9, 1987, at 7:52 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council <br />President Santo Basile.presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Go1ey, and <br />Mr. Petschauer <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Miss Heath <br />Mr. Basile said the Special Meeting was called to consider Resolution . <br />No. 87-21 regarding Police Lialiility Insurance,. and to hold an executive <br />session to discuss personnel matters. <br />Mr. Basile said that a meeting was held on Saturday morning at the Village <br />Hall to discuss the Aintree North drainage course. At that. meeting, Mr. <br />Hovancsek, Mr. Courtney, and people from Aintree North were present. He <br />said the pr.esent plans are to widen the ditch and 1ine,it with gravel only <br />going as far as Timberline. Beyond that, the area is eroding and he feels <br />that they should continue the-ditch heyond that line. 'He proposes that it <br />be continued to the end of the property 1ine. Norman Kotbch, an Aintree North resident who was present in the audience, <br />showed Council a map of.the area: Mayor Carmen and Council looked at the <br />map and an informal discus'sion was held. <br />Mayor Carmen and Council agreed to set,up a meeting with the following: <br />Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Caticchio,. Mr. Aven.i, Mr. Kotoch, Mr. Basile, and <br />Mayor Carmen. They will try to schedule the meeting for Wednesday, March <br />18, at 10 a.m. at the Village Hall. Mr. Hovancsek will be requested to <br />bring a copy of ttie map with him to the meeting. <br />Mr. Basile announced that.he received a call from Jim Plastine. The Mayfield <br />Township Historical Society will lie moving the historical house this week. <br />They obtained an interest-free loan from Hilltop Realty for the remainder of <br />the monies needed to move the house. Mr. Basile requested that the check for <br />the an.nual maintenance fee of $2,500 (which was already approved by Council) <br />be given to the Historical Society as soon as possible. <br />Mr. Basile asked what would be done about the street lights in Aintree. <br />Mayor Carmen said we will put together an.approxima.te cost to each resident, <br />then we will survey the residents to d.eterinine whether.ar not they would like <br />the street lights. If the majority of the residents feel street lights <br />would be worthwhile, the Village will agree to have them installed.
