, ; : <br />ro.9 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />July 20, 1987 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met on Monday, July 20, 1987, at 8 p.m. in <br />the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Santo Basile <br />presided. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Goley, and Mr. <br />Petschauero <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Patrick, <br />Chief Stevens, Firefighter Porter, and Miss Heath. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Mr. Pat Caticchio, a Representative of the North Aintree Development Company - <br />said he would like Council to consider adopting_a resolution to abandon the <br />existing easement on the channel fhat fronts Aintree North because it is <br />useless. He said in iieu of that the property owners would give us an <br />easement,.subject to the approval of Steve Hovancsek that would follow the <br />exact course.of the creek that exists now. Mr. Caticchio.said that he has <br />negotiated.with the Aintree North property.owners: They want to see something <br />in writing from the Village saying that that 50 foot easement would be abandoned. <br />He said that they will not sign a right-of-entry until they have this. Mr. <br />Caticchio explained that this had already been discussed with Mayor Carmen and <br />Mr. Hovancsek and tHey agreed that it had to be done: Since they are trying <br />to begin the work as soon as possible, he requested that this resolution be <br />adopted tonight. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that we.have an existing easement for the drainage area <br />which currently runs behind several Aintree homes. The easement that we have <br />no longer coincides with the actual course of the water. He said that Mr. <br />Caticchio is requesting a new easement which_will track the course of the water; <br />the present easement would be relinquished. <br />Mr. Goley asked if they could inforinally po11 the pleasure of Council on this <br />matter. The final resolution could be adopted after additional information was <br />obtained.from the Law Directox and the Engineer. He said he would like to <br />follow the recommendation of Mr. Hovancsek. <br />Mr. Caticchio asked if it would be possible to start work at the cemetery and <br />continue ta SOM Center Road. He said that they.want to be assured that they <br />will be able.to get the building permits. <br />Mr. Flynn said that he thinks there should be a set time frame for the. entire <br />problem to be taken care of. <br />Mr. Goley said that he agreed with Mr. Flynn and that he urges a deadline for <br />completion be set.
