<br />MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Village of Mayf ield <br />December 6, 1982 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in Special Session on Monday, <br />December 6, 1982 at 8:22 p.m. in the Village Hall. Council President, <br />Michael W. Spellma.n, presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Messrs., Busa, Carmen, Etzler, Flynn, Spellman, Mrs. <br />Bloom and Mrs. Hanus <br />Absent : None <br /> <br /> <br />Also Present Were . Ma.yor Beebe, Messrs., Amendola, Feneli, Hovancsek, <br />Toth, Mrs. Ruggles, and Chief Stevens <br />Consideration of Minutes <br />Regular Meeting of Council -'Ndvembor 15; 1982 - Council President Spellman <br />stated there being no corrections, the minutes will stand as written. <br />Council President Spellman stated this Special Meeting was called to discuss <br />Resolution 82-91, and asked Mr. Toth to explain it. <br />Resolution 82-91, entitled;.."A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE AMOUNTS AND RATES AS <br />DETERMINED BY.THE BUDGET COMMISSION AND AUTHORIZING THE NECESSARY TAX LEVIES <br />AND CERTIFYING THEM TO THE COUNTY AUDITOR." Introduced by the Mayor and . <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Toth said Resolution 82-91 was prepared in the standard form used by the <br />County. He has asked Mr. Feneli to prepare it in our standard form. He <br />explained the resolution which covers the formal procedure of the County so ' <br />they can levy taxes against the residents in the Village, which must be done <br />before December 12. He said the decline of personal property tax will be <br />$1,500.1ess next year than this year and will result in a net loss of $17,000.00. <br />Council President Spellman, seconded by Mr. Flynn, ma.de a motion to suspend <br />the rules of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there were any questions or comments. <br />There were none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended
