Village of Mayfield met in regular session on <br />Monday, February 18, 1980, at 8:00 P.M. in the Village Ha11. Council <br />President, Alan Bennett presided. ~ ~. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to-the Flag was given. <br />Roll Call:.. Present: Messrs., Bennett, Boger, Carmen, F1ynn,.Spellman <br />.~ Mrs. Hanus and Miss Trask <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present:. Mayor Beebe, Robert Beatty, Gus Amendola, Dale Feneli, <br />Steve Hovancsek, Chief Stevens and Chief Hejcl <br />` OPEN PORTION <br />There being no comments, -that portion of the meeting closed. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES ' <br />I~I <br />Public Hearing of January 21, 1980 - Mr. Bennett stated that everyone <br />~' had received copies; there being no objections, the minutes stand as <br />writtenm <br />Regular Council Meeting of January 21, 1980 - Mr. Bennett stated that <br />everyone had received the corrections to these minutes; there being. <br />no objections, the minutes-stand as corrected. <br />Special Council'.:Meeting of January 31, 1980 -'Mr. Bennett. stated that <br />everyone had received the corrections .to these minutes,; there being no <br />objections,~the minutes stand as corrected. ~~ <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS° <br />" Mayor Beebe stated that he had several proclamations and asked for. <br />Council's indulgence while he read the proclamations regarding the <br />Boy Scouts of America and designating the week of February 3rd through <br />the 9th of 1980 as Scouting Anniversary Week. Mayor Beebe stated that <br />present this evening is David. Harris - who was one of the three boys <br />.out of 750 Cub Scouts, that were most outstanding and were selected to <br />present him with a report of the current status of Cub Scouting and he <br />is here this evening to accept the proclamation~on behalf of the Cub <br />Scouts. David came forward and Mayor Beebe took his picture. Mayor <br />Beebe introduced David's parents, Dr..& Mrs. Harris. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that the Rotary Club of Hillcrest Area, in a letter <br />from their president, John Bosco, have requested the week of Feb. 17, <br />throught Feb. 23, 1980 to be proclaimed as Rotary International Week. <br />
