MINUTES OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />January 5, 2004 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in special session on Monday, January 5, 2004, at eight <br />o'clock (8:00) p.m. at the Mayfield United Methodist Church, 810 S.O.M. Center Road. Mayor <br />Rinker called the meeting to order and said because this is our Organizational Meeting, this is the <br />one time of the year the Mayor gets to bang the gavel and asked Mrs. Roman to call the roll. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, <br />Dr. Parker and Mr. Saponaro (in the audience until sworn in) <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Chief Dearden, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Roman <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Mayor Rinker said happy new year and thanked everyone in the community for having been re- <br />elected as Mayor. The first order of business and to be official, I need to be sworn in. <br />• Administration of Oaths of Office (For those elected in November 2003 to 4-year <br />terms) <br />MAYOR Bruce G. Rinker <br />Law Director Joseph Diemert administered the oath of office to Bruce G. Rinker as Mayor for a <br />4-year term. <br />Mayor Rinker said I now get the honor to swear in our newly-elected and re-elected Council <br />members. <br />MEMBERS OF COUNCIL: <br />WARD 1 William Marquardt <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to William Marquardt as Ward 1 Council Member. <br />WARD 3 Stephan H. Parker <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Dr. Stephan Parker as Ward 3 Council Member. <br />AT LARGE Joseph M. Saponaro
