MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COMBINED MEETING OF CAUCUS/COUNCIL
June 12, 2006 - 8:00 p.m.
MAYFIELD VILLAGE CIVIC HALL
The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, June 12, 2006, at
approximately 8:14 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called
the meeting to order.
The first order of business was discussion concerning the single Caucus/Council meeting.
It is suggested that the Caucus for this evening be combined to the Council meeting in order to
avoid repetition. All items for discussion will be combined in to this meeting.
ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt,
Mr. Saponaro, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Marrie
and Dr. Parker (8:30 p.m.)
Also Present: Mr. Brett, Mr. Diemert, Chief Dearden,
Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, Mr. Thomas,
Mr. Cappello and Mrs. Betsa
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
OPEN PORTION
5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address.
Comments by Anita Peirce
Mrs. Peirce resides on Upper 40. She would like to ask the Village's assistance with regard to
the Butternulk Falls Bridge. It will be out for a long time, November possibly January. They asked
permission from the park to use the cut through that is now there for vehicles that will come if there
is a problem in the park where they live. They asked the manager of the park if they could use that.
Everytime she goes out of the park, she comes by there and can see S.O.M. Center Road, but she is
not allowed to go, so she has to go down Oxlane,.down River Road, all the way to 6 and then all the
way up to S.O.M. Center and then all the way there. She can see where she could have cut through.
It must be at least 5-6 miles out of the way. She would like to ask before she goes to Vern
Hartenburg if you could talk to him because if he says no then it is no and maybe you have some
influence on that. You can say Wilson Mills will be open soon, but still if Wilson Mills is open, it is
still a long way because then the bridge goes out and they will have to get their mail in Gates Mills,
then they have to go Wilson Mills, S.O.M. Center or Mayfield a11 the way to Gates Mills and then a11
the way back. It really is kind if you would take care of this. She has to go out many times. To add
10 miles up and down is asking too .much.
