MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />September 25, 2006 - 8:00 p.m. . <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE CIVIC HALL <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in regular session on Monday, September 25, 2006, <br />at approximately 8:OS p.m. in the Mayfield Village Civic Hall. <br />Council President Buckholtz called the Council meeting to order. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz <br />Mrs. Cinco <br />Mr. Marquardt <br />Mr. Saponaro <br />Mrs. Mills <br />Mr. Marrie <br />Dr. Parker <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Ms. Calta, Mr. Cappello, <br />Chief Dearden, Chief Mohr, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, <br />Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Kalina and Mrs. Betsa <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Mr. Buckholtz welcomed the Seniors from the Mayfield High School AP Government class who <br />were in the audience. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />5-minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to speak must first state their name and address. <br />Marge Eisenberg <br />6783 Seneca <br />Mrs. Eisenberg advised Council that she is disappointed that the street repairs on Seneca, <br />Bonnieview, Glenview and Beechhill were not put in the budget. She further indicated to Mr. Rinker <br />that his indifference and total disregard for the safety of those residents on those streets is appalling. <br />It is irresponsible. Those streets have been on the backburner for years. No one has done anything <br />with them for years and everyone knows it. Those streets are absolutely a disaster. If you can plant <br />trees up and down S.O.M. Center, you can fix the streets. If you can put in the bike trail three times <br />and spend a million dollars on an underpass, you can fix the storm sewers. If you can buy property <br />all over this Village, then you can fix the water and drainage problems. Mrs. Eisenberg further <br />opined to Mayor Rinker that it seemed to her that his agenda comes before the safety and concern of <br />the residents in this Village, shame on you. Mrs. Eisenberg added to the rest of Council that they <br />come here to go through an agenda with the Mayor. What about the residents? What about those <br />streets . They are not going to make it two or three years down the road sitting on the backburner. <br />Those streets will not collapse, they will cave in because of the underlying water problems and who <br />
