MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village Civic Hall <br />Monday, May 19, 2014 - 8:00 p.m. <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, May 19, 2014 at <br />, Mayfield Village Civic Hall. Council President Buckholtz called the meeting to order at 8:00 <br />p.m. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Delguyd, Mr. Jerome, <br />Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills, <br />Dr. Parker (8:22 p.m.) <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Wynne, Mr. Diemert, Chief Edelman, <br />Chief Carcioppolo, Mr. Marrelli, Mr. Metzung, <br />Mr. Thomas, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Dinardo, Mr. Esborn, <br />Ms. Wolgamuth and Mrs. Betsa <br />Absent: None <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />Council President Buckholtz welcomed Allison Garbo, Amber poubrava and Lydia Betsa from <br />Willoughby South High School's government class. If you have any questions or would like to <br />participate, feel free. <br />OPEN PORTION .. <br />There were no comments. <br />Presentation bv Mayfield Citv Schools: "What's Hanuening in Your Schools" <br />Mayfield City School District Adiniiustration provided an update to Council. The following is a <br />suminary of the presentation. <br />Dr. Keith Kelly, Superintendent <br />Today, Tony Loewer sent me a District newsletter from 1941. Did you know that Mayfield Schools <br />at one time was called Mayfield Village School District? There were over 10,000 books in the <br />Library. It only cost us $1.48 a month to transport 740 students. The total population was 4,400. <br />I found it fascinating that some of the same concepts of 1941 were part of the xnission of the <br />instructional purpose then as they are now.
