MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />July 14, 2003 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, July 14, 2003 at <br />8:05 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room for a Public Hearing <br />regarding Ordinance No. 2003-18. Council President Bill Buckholtz presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, <br />Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker, and Mr. Riter <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Chief Dearden, <br />Mr. Diemert, Chief Mohr, Mr. Samac, Mr. Thomas and <br />Mrs. Roman <br />PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ORDINANCE N0.2003-18 <br />Mr. Diemert read the title as follows: <br />ORDINANCE 2003-18, "An ordinance revising the zone map of Mayfield Village so as to <br />amend the use classification of 6.6 acres of vacant land located on the west side of S.O.M. <br />Center Road immediately south of the Mt. Vernon office building also known as permanent <br />parcel nos. 831-13-003, 831-13-006 and 831-13-017, from its current classification of U-1 <br />"Residential District" and "Office Laboratory" to "Planned Residential Development." <br />(First Reading May 19, 2003; Referred to P&Z; Second Reading 6/2/03; Public Hearing held <br />7/14/03 prior to this regular meeting) <br />Council President Buckholtz opened the floor for questions or comments from Council. <br />There were no comments. <br />Council President Buckholtz opened the floor for questions or comments from the audience <br />about this new zoning classification or this in particular. <br />Jude Alvin Krenzler, 28099 N. Woodland Road, Pepper Pike - I am the owner of the <br />subject property and this ordinance seeks to rezone the property to the new category of Planned <br />Residential Development District. This is the ordinance created recently that went through <br />Planning Commission and Council. It took about a year to get the ordinance created. This <br />zoning request is to change the present zoning to the Planned Residential Development District. <br />What this does, this allows housing under this category which is single-family, attached. We are <br />proposing to comply with the ordinance in all respects. From time to time at the meetings of <br />Planning Commission, Council had asked if the zoning were created what we proposed to do on <br />the property. This is the latest plan. [He showed Council.] This complies with the ordinance in <br />all respects. We are only using about a 40% of the land for housing and 60% open space. I gave <br />Bernie copies of this. I would be happy to answer any questions. <br />Mayor Rinker put Judge Krenzler's site plan on an easel for the audience to see. <br />Judge Krenzler said this is a typical elevation for this type of housing. We have had a lot of <br />requests from people who live in Mayfield Village that want to stay here, their children are <br />
