"~ MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />December 15, 2003 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, December 15, 2003, at <br />8:00 p.m. in the Mayfield Village Senior Center/Community Room. Council President Bill <br />Buckholtz presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Buckholtz, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marne, <br />Mrs. Mills, Dr. Parker and Mr. Biter <br />Absent: Mr. Samac <br />Also Present: Mayor Rinker, Mr. Brett, Chief Dearden, Mr. Diemert, Mr. <br />Hovancsek, Mr. Metzung, Chief Mohr, Thomas and Mrs. Roman <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION OF MEETING..........5=minute limit imposed by Chair. Those who wish to <br />speak.must first state their name and address. <br />There were no comments. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES:Reg_ular Council Meeting -November 17, 2003 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to approve the minutes. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR RINKER <br />Mayor Rinker said we are gathered here for some rites of passage. As often happens, there is a <br />certain amount of the bittersweet with the sweet. I will start with the bittersweet. We note that <br />Mr. Biter is attending his last meeting here and we wish him well. We've appreciated his tenure, <br />however brief it was, on Council and all his contributions. (Members of Council, Department <br />Heads and members of the audience applauded.) Mayor Rinker said in our audience is Lt. Don <br />Porter. (He asked Don to stand up and be recognized for his years of excellent service.) Mayor <br />Rinker addressed Don and said because you are leaving we are here to celebrate another rite of <br />passage-not only your leaving--but the arrival of Gino Carcioppolo. <br />Mayor Rinker administered the oath of office to Gino Carcioppolo as full-time firefighter. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BUCKHOLTZ <br />i <br />Council President Buckholtz said the employee party last Friday was really outstanding. He <br />suggests everybody attend it next year and thanks all Village employees who made it possible.
