Ilacqua,
Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Marrie, Mrs. Mills and Dr. Parker
Absent: Mayor Rinker, Chief Mohr
Also Present: Mr. Brett, Mr. Cappello, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Metzung,
Mr. Samac, Chief Stevens, Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Roman
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.
OPEN'PORTION `
Mr: James Smith. Sandalwood Drive - said, this is the first Council meeting that I've attended,
although I attended a lot of them when I lived in Highland Heights where I had been President of
Council. I had served on the Cuyahoga County Board of Health for 35 years. It was a great
experience. I lived in Highland Heights before coming here. Since I retired, I have so far
received 17 proclamations including the wonderful, most beautiful of all, the one from Mayfield
Village (which I've made home now for about 15 years) and plan to stay. I brought it with me. I
want to show it to you folks. Of all the resolutions I received, here is the most beautiful. I wish I
had time to read it to you. I felt so honored and so glad a$er the 12 or 15 years that I've been a
resident here to be honored by this Board for work that I did long before I ever came to Mayfield
Village. I wanted to tell you how grateful I am. This is going to be in a place of honor in my
home for a lot of years. Thank you.
Council President Buckholtz said, Mr. Smith, we are honored to have you here. Thank you for
approaching us; that was a very nice gesture.
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
Regular Council Meeting - June 17, 2002- Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion
to approve the minutes.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None Motion Carried
Minutes Approved
