ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bierman, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, J. Thomas, E. Traczyk, and <br />J. Burns. Mr. Thomas, a new member, had been sworn in by the <br />Mayor previously. <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, City Engineer J. Schaller, <br />Acting Building Commissioner D. Sanker, Councilmen R. Tallon <br />and R. Wilamosky, and-Clerk of Commissions B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Minutes of February 10, 1987 as submitted, <br />seconded by E. Traczyk, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REOUESTS: <br />1) Space Age Industrial Design, Bradley Road (southwest of 31157) <br />Proposal to construct building in Limited Industrial Area. <br />(Heard by the Architectural Board of Review February 18, 1987) <br />The Architectural Board of Review had approved proposal as submitted <br />with the suggestions that the.p arking spaces in the front of the b uild- <br />ing be landbanked and that dumpster in the rear be comnletely enclosed <br />with a gate on the front. Police Department had some questions as to <br />the design of the building on the west and south sides in view of the <br />possibility of break-ins and also questioned the delivery vehicles <br />which might have to back in or out onto Bradley Road. The Fire Depart- <br />ment had no objection but advised that water for fire protection must <br />be nrovided. The forester advised that he will be working with the <br />developer to save as ma.ny trees as possible. Mr. Hardy again stated <br />he rarely had deliveries by tractor-trailers, delivery is usually by <br />United Parcel Service. In reference to the parking in the front set <br />back which had been questioned previously, Assistant Law Director <br />Dubelko advised that Section 1191:03 of the ordinance on the Limited <br />Industrial Area prohibits.parking in the front set back, except for <br />the loading and unloading of passengers. It was clarified that the <br />set back was at the actual building line, not just the minimum 50 feet <br />required (this building is set back 133 feet). Mr. DelGuidice, the <br />architect, stated that they are trying to save as many trees as possible <br />and did not want to pave in back. Mr. Sanker advised that, according <br />to the code, thev need 4 parking spaces for the shop and 13 for the <br />office, ulus visitor parking which was determined to be 5 spaces. <br />Mr. Hardy stated he only has 9 employees, and rarely has more than <br />2 visitors at a time. Mr. Dubelko's internretation of the-industrial <br />? parking requirements are that the parking does not have to be broken <br />down by office use and shop use, that the entire parking should be
