Traczyk, and <br />J. Burns. <br />Absent: M. Betts <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director J. Dubelko, City Engineer J. Schaller, <br />and Clerk of Commissions B. Oring. <br />II, REyIE[a AND CORRECTION OF IVIINUTES : <br />J. Thomas moved to approve the minutes of May 12, 1987, seconded by E. Traczyk, <br />and unanimously approved, <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Nightfall Night Club, 30850 Lorain Road <br />Partial landscape plan. (Heard by Planning Commission January 27, 1987) <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review May 20, 1987.. <br />Mr. Horvath, the owner, presented a sketch showing the 6 arborvitae to <br />be planted 3 feet on center explaining that.he is extending the existing <br />row of trees 18 feet in order to prohibit cars from pulling out of the <br />parking area directly onto Hickory Lane. Since the pronosal is in <br />litigation, Assistant Law Director Dubelko advised that the cit_y has a <br />tri41 date fox' September 22nd, with a pretrial for August 24th, however <br />if Mr, Hpryath does nof complet.e the narking lot improvements by June lst, <br />the City would expect that the parking would be restricted to the present <br />hard surface area, if not, the City will file a motion to advance the <br />trail date or seek an injunct.ion.. NIr. Hevelone, President of the <br />Timber Trails Homeowners Association, stated that this is a feeble at- <br />tempt to buy time and is questioning when Mr. Horvath will comply with <br />the pxeVious requests of the Commission. This is now in the hands of <br />the Law• Deoartment, ' B. Gorris 'fioved' to approve the planting of 6 <br />axborvitae?olants: Qn the west side of the Nightfall property effectively <br />elimi;nating what has-been heretofore an iliegal driveway, seconded by <br />T. Morgan? Roll call on motion; Gorris, Morgan, Traczyk, and Burns, <br />yes, Bierman and Thomas, no. Motion carried. <br />2) -Kids "R: Us, 25877 Great Northern Shopping Center <br />Proposal to renovate front elevation of retail unit (formerly Designer Depot). <br />Hea.rd by Architectural Board of Review May 20, 1987. <br />Mr. Ricci-explained that the Architectural.Board of Review had approved plans as submitted; Chaixman Burns read the motion of: the Architectural <br />Board wliich also stated that they had approved the sign on the upper <br />_ part of the mansard: The Commission had no problem.with the proposal. <br />R..Bierman moved to approve the renovation of the front elevation of <br />retai,l unit at 25877 Great Northern Shopping Center, seconded by E. Traczyk, <br />and unanimously approved.
