<br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />CITX OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - NOVEMBER 24, 1987 <br />Chairman Burns called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. <br />Present: M. Betts, R. Bierman, T. Morgan, J. Thomas, E. Traczyk, and <br />J. Burns. <br />Absent: B. Gorris <br />Also Present: Consulting City Engineer T. Boyer, Assistant Law Director <br />J.. Dubelko, Building Coituaissioner D. Conway, and Clerk <br />of Commissions B. Oring.;, <br />? <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MiNUTES: <br />M. Betts moved to anprove the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting <br />of October 27, 1987 as submi.tted, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />Chairman Burns noted for the record that the meeting of November lOth was <br />cancelled because no items were filed for the agenda by the respective <br />deadline dates. . <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Great Northern Shopping Center, Plaza South <br />Proposal to change color on one building and definition of materials <br />used on entire building. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review November 18, 1987. <br />r4r. R. Carlisle, Biskind Development Company, advised that they had <br />appeared before the Board o.f Building Code Appeals which approved the <br />use of the material for the City of North Olmsted. The Arcliitectural <br />Board had approved the color of the building and had amended their <br />minutes of November 20, 1985 to read dryvit-like material. Building <br />Commissioner Conway explained that he referred this material to the <br />Board of Building Code Appeals because it had not been approved for <br />use in the city. R. Bierman moved to approve the proposal to change <br />color on one building on the south end of Plaza South to Glidden 78-57, <br />Glidden 70-17, and Glidden 78-51 and also to include in this the defini- <br />tion of materials as requested, seconded by M. Betts, and unanimously <br />approved. <br />2) First Nationwide Bank, 4701 Great Northern Blvd. <br />- Proposal for slight modification to front of.unit. <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review November 18, 1987. <br />Mr. Langer, Osborn Engineering, explained the proposal to relocate the <br />doors and windows in the front of the unit. The Architectural Board <br />had approved the proposal and the signs as presented. Building Commis- <br />sioner Conway advised that the signs conformed to the ordinance.
