ARCHITECTURAL BOARD OF REVTEW MARCH 4, 1987 PAGE 2
by the adjacent condominium, but there are no windows facing his
groperty. Mr. Pattison believes that the relocated drive is not the
best traffic pattern, and that the original plan was better; and
suggested that they consider just one drive off David Drive located
in the center of the property. He suggested some potted plants be
installed in front of the retail units, perhaps on a 2 or 3 foot
sidewalk, and also along the rear. This could probably be accomplished
by tightening up the parking and would also eliminate the wheel stops.
He also suggested some type of protection from cars for the rear pro-
jection and does not believe that the second floor canopy will afford
much protection. Mr. Pattison made it clear that these are just sug-
gestions and not recommendations for approval. D. Pattison moved to
approve the plans as subm3tted, seconded by J. Britton, and unanimously
approved.
Mr. Pattison suggested that, in many cases, the code requires more
parking spaces than are acutally needed, especially in office buildings,
and thinks that it would be in tfie city's interest to allow Planning
Commission the authority to landbank some spaces in green area without
that proposal having to go to the Board of Zoning Appeals.
VI.
