Acciarri, architect, who explained that '
a11 material wi11 match the existing; split face block (Kortan) with
dark brown Timberline shin.gles, bronze flashing and bronze frames. He
explained that the landscaping will be the same as proposed originally
with grass and trees in the landscaped area. The sign has been relocated
in order to conform to the code. Mechanical equipment will be pad
mounted on the rear property. He explained that if they need a dumpster,
it will be enclosed with a board on board fence, but there is none on
the property at present. J. Britton moved to accept the plans as sub-
mi_tted with the new building matching the existing exterior of the
priginal building also if, due to needs by the tenant, a dumpster is
ins:talled that it be shielded with a board on board fence so that it
will not be visible on three sides, so as not to be visible to the
adjoining properties, and that the landscaping will be accepted along
wi,th the relocated'ground sign, seconded by B. Zergott, and unanimously
apprpved.
IV. OLD BUSINESS:
1) Nightfall Nzght Club, 30850 Lorain Road
Landscape plan (Heard by Planning Commission January 27, 1987).
Mr. Horvath, the owner, and Mr. Braun, attorney, presented a sketch
showing flowers and b ushes in front of the building and p.artially along
Lorain Road with trees added along Hickory Lane to extend the existing
line of trees. Mr. Braun explained that a landscape-x had presented a
plan which was not acceptable and they had requested that he rework it,
but he failed to do so. He stated that since they had been told by
someone from the city: that some of the existing trees, on Hickory Lane
would have to be removed, they would like to receive permission to
remove and replant those three further along Hickory Lane. Mr. Zergott
advised that this could not be done at this time of year. The board
stated that they could not approve the sketch as a complete landscape
plan, but agreed to approve the planting of seven arborvitae, 22 to
3 feet on center, which should be the same size (or as close as possible)
to the existing trees. It was pointed out that the landscapa strip-•
shown on the sketch was not complete and the Board explained exactly
what they would need for an acceptable landscape plan. Mr. Braun
stated they they still needed another curb cut, hopefully on Hickory
Lane, but if not, they would want one ori Lorain Road so he could not
present a total plan until he received permission for that. They
intend to request this from Planning Commission possibly on June 9th.
B. Zergot moved to accept the seven arborvitae for the remainder of the
hedge along Hickory Lane Drive and that the b alan.ce of the landscaping
plan will be presented at a later date, seconded by J. Britton., and
unanimously approved.
VI. ADJOURNED
The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
. Britton, Acting Chairman
B. Oring, Clerk of Commissions
