The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Bowersox, the neighbor to the north, and Miss Hardy <br />who explained that her southernproperty line-is 16 feet away from the <br />condominium sidewalk and drive and that She need's asolid, six foot fence. .. <br />for privacy. She stated that there are approximately 100 to 150 cars in <br />and out of the driveway each day. Mr. Bowersox objects to any fence on <br />his side of:the propertg (north), b ut agrees.that she needs it on the south. <br />He maintains that the bushes and trees create a natural barrier at the rear. <br />Miss Hardy presented pictures showing.that the dumpster is immediately • <br />behind her property and that propos,ed fence would be 16 feet away from <br />roadway and would not cause visibiTity problems. Mr. Remmel pointed out <br />the property is heavily wooded and dumpster is screened by this natural <br />screening, and that most corner lots are exposed to traffic. R.. Bugala <br />moved t.o grant the l foot height va.riance and a variance for a solid fence <br />on a corner lot for Sandra L. Hardy, 3271 West 231 St., seconded by G: Remmel. <br />Roll call on motion: Bugala, Remmel, Gomersall, and.Helon, no. Motion <br />failed to pass. Variance denied. Tt was explained to Miss Hardy that she <br />could have a split rail or chain link fence on the corner side of the <br />property and a S foot solid fence can be installed on the rear and north <br />side of her lot without a variance. Mr. Sanker stated that she was en- <br />titled to .16 feet o£ a 6 foot privacy screen behind the house, if it is <br />pla.ced 5 feet off the property 1ine, She was further advised that she can <br />appeal this decision through the Common Pleas Court. <br />10. Franklin D. Lester, 5444 Porter Rd. <br />Reques.t special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front and rear <br />set backs). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Lester who explained that they were only <br />enclosing.the area where the porch is riow. C. -Remmel moved to grant the <br />special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling to conform to the Build- <br />ing Department requirements, se'conded by R.
