? <br />l <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - MAY 6, 1987 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, J. Helon, and C. Remmel <br />Mr. Gomersall arrived at 8:05 p.m. <br />Absent: B. Grace. <br />Ih <br />Also Present: Acting Building Commissioner D. Sanker and Clerk of Commissions <br />B. Oring. <br />R. Bugala moved to accept the minutes of the meeting of April 1, 1987 as <br />written, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. _ <br />Chaizman Remmel adyised that the agenda would be amended so that case <br />number 1 would be held until Mr. Gomersall was present. <br />1. Lee Michael Thomas, 4480 Martin Drive (heard at end of ineeting) <br />2. S. J. Costello, 23949 Birch Lane <br />Request for variance.(:1133.13). Request variance for fence on corner lot <br />(not 90% open) to replace fence for which a height variance had been <br />granted on May 28, .1969. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section 1151.04-H. <br />Chairman Remmel administered the oath to Mr. and Mrs. Costello who explained <br />that this would be a corral type fence similar to the one for which a vari- <br />ance was granted previously. This is an open fence, but not 90% open. J. <br />Helon moved to grant a variance for a fence similar to the present fence <br />(with the same amount of open space) for Mr. S. J. Costell, seconded by <br />R. Bugala, and unanimously approved.._Variance granted. <br />3. Vi.rginia A. Olsan, 28291 Gardenia Dr. <br />Request for vari.ance.(1133.13). Request variance for 4 foot fence in _ <br />front Set back (adjacent to public walkway). Violation of Ord. 62-33, <br />Section 1151, 04--H. <br />Chairman Remmel called.all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Ms: Olson, and Mr. and Mrs. Dimagio_and Ms. Oschall; <br />neighbors who agr.eed that she needed the fence since it is adjacent to <br />the walkway. Fence will be chain link which is 90% open. C. Remmel moved <br />to grant the variance for this fence as requested providing it is 90% <br />open and matches the fence on the other side of the walk and with the <br />further condition that the hedge or bushes be trimmed to the same size as <br />the fence, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Variance granted. <br />4. Raymond HeineTt, 5026 Porter Rd. <br />Request special permit to add to non-conforming dwelling (front set b ack), <br />Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was-administered to Mr. Heiriert. Board has no.probelms with the special
