? <br />? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - FEBRUARY 4, 1987 <br />Chairman Remmel called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, R. Gomersall, B. Grace, J. Helon, and C. Remmel <br />Also Presente Law Di.rector M. Gareau, Acting Building Commissioner <br />D. Sanker, Safety Director H. Becker, and Clerk of <br />Commissions B. Oring. <br />R. Bugala moved to approve the minutes of January 7, 1987 as written, <br />seconded by B. Grace, and unanimously approved. <br />1. Don Johnson, permanent parcel number 234-17-007 (property located between <br />6753 and 6811 Barton Rd.). <br />Request for variance (1133.13). Request 148 square foot variance for area <br />of house in an "A" residential district. Violation of Ord. 62-33, Section <br />1153.01. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Lenhardt, a neighbor, who stated <br />that she had no objection to the variance since she has seen his plans. <br />Mr.. Johnson will be building the house exactly as shown on the plan. <br />Board had no objection. C. Remmel inoved to grant this variance conditioned <br />upon the house'being built according to the plans submitted, seconded by <br />R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. Variance granted: <br />2. Mr-, and Mrs. D. M. Rasgaitis, 5136 Whitetho m Ave. <br />Request for special permit (1231.02). Request special permit to add gable <br />r.oof to non-conforming garage (side and rear yard and distance between <br />house and garage). Special permission required Ord. 62-33, Section 1231.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. and Mrs. Rasgaitis and Mr. Stumpf, the contracotor. <br />Chairman Remmel questioned if a second floor would be added and advised <br />that the height of the garage could only be 15 feet to the gable. Thev <br />are not adding a second floor. Mr. Stumpf advised that the rear patio <br />enclosure is only 10 feet and not 14 as shown on the plan so that distance <br />between the house and garage is greater than shown. The small shed addition <br />on the garage will remain, but the entire structure will be vinyl sided. <br />R. Gomersall moved to grant a special permit to Mr. and Mrs.. Rasgaitis to <br />add a gable roof to a non-conforming garage which is to be built within <br />the code, seconded by.R. Bugala, and unanimously approved. Special permit <br />granted. 3. Suburban Auto Bod:y, 4960 Dover Center Rd. <br />Request for variance (1133.13). ' Request temporary variance to park in <br />front set back in:General Retail District. Violation of Ord. 62-33, <br />Section 1174..02. :
