ROLL CALL: <br />Vice-Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8;15 p.m. <br />Present: M. Betts, R. Bierman, B, Gorris, J.. Thomas, and E..Traczyk <br />Absent: '-T. Morgan <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Building Commissioner D..Conway, <br />Consulting City Engineer Boyer; and Clerk of Commissions B. Oring. <br />II.o REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: _ <br />M. Betts moved to approve the minutes of January 26, 1988 as submitted, <br />seconded by E. Traczyk,.and unanimously anproved.. Mr. Thomas stated that the agenda will be amended in'order to hear Section IV <br />first. . IVe NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDiVISIONS: <br /> <br />1) Rocco H. and Hennie M. Puzzitiello Assembly Plat ,. <br />No representative p.resemt, heard.later'iri meeting: 2) Sunrise Development Company Assembly Plat <br />No representative nresent,,heard_later fn meeting. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: 1) Columbia Village Apartments, Phase III, Realtek Industries), located <br />to rear of lots on north side of Lorain Road Be'tween Columbia and Root <br />Roads. ' <br />Proposal to construct Phase III in existing avartment and condominium <br />comnlex. '(Variance granted bv Board of Zoning Appeals December 2, 1987). <br />(Continued by PTanning Commission December 9, 1988).. in response to questions raised at the last meeting, Mr. Mongello, archi- <br />tect, and Mr. Kirig, atforney, presented a.'site plan showing the total - <br />complex advising that- there are 80 surface parki'ng spaces and 54 indoor <br />narking spaces on.the Hyde Park:parcel which exceeds the'code requirements. <br />Building.Commissioner Conway agreed that parking conforms to code, however" <br />noiiited out that one garage was never constructed so that two of the owners <br />would be forced to nark in a garage further away from their unit than <br />. originally .planned. Mr. ` Betts. -is. concerned about when the cul-de-sat for <br />Hyde Park will be completed.. After some discussion,-'.the .developer'-agreed <br />. to:complete, it after the asphalt plants open in April. The phase line <br />between the two complexes actually encroaches into the Hyde.Park cul-de-sac. <br />Mr. Ktng exnlained that there are discussion with the condomin3um associa- <br />tio.n regarding responsibilities for maintaining roads. Assistant Law <br />, Director Dubleko stated that at the present time the condominium owners would not legally have the right to use the entire cul-de-sac, and advised <br />that the easement issue be resolved prior to final approval,by the city. <br />u
