Mr. Gorris <br />requested that the Building Commissioner review the plans of the Ashland <br />Oil Company that were submitted in the fall.of 1985 in order to determine <br />if they conform prior to the submission of the assembly plat of this <br />propos aL <br />2) -North Olmsted Lumber, 27375 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to construct storage-addition <br />(Heard by the Board of Zoning Appeals March 2, 1988). <br />Heard by Architectural Board of Review March.16, 1988. <br />S. Schill, architect, advised that Mr. Pattison of the Architectural <br />Board had some concerns as to the aesthetics of the building, but it <br />was approved as submitted with the consideration that it was only for_ . <br />storage, and was almost 400 feet from Lorain Road: Mr: Conway advised <br />that there are some building code.questions,: but these will be addressed <br />during the review of the coristruction,drawings. Mr..Thomas questioned <br />why the building was.not required to have a fire sprinkler svstem, espec- <br />ially since-it is for the storage of lumber, but he was.advised that this <br />Faas not req_uired for a buiTding of this size. B. Gorris moved to approve <br />the North 0lmsted Zumber proposal to constr.uct a storage addition, 27375 <br />Lorain Road as per the drawing marked-:received bq the Building Department; <br />March 8; 1988, seconded by M. Betts. Roll call on motion: Gorris, Betts, <br />Thomas, Traczyk,.and Morgan, yes. Mr. Bierman abstained. <br />3) Great Northern Shopping Center, Plaza South, <br />Proposal to construct small addition and change to elevation <br />:Heard by Architectural Board"of Review Mar&_:16, 1988: <br />Mr. Carlisle exnlained nroposal to square off the southeast corner of <br />Plaza South; advising that colors and materials will match the revised <br />ulans previously.approved. In response to.some remarks made by Mr. 'Pat'tison at the Architectural Board of Review meeting-they have made <br />some slight revisions to the:architectural,style of the pediment so that <br />it 3s more in keeping with the,"=other features of the building. Mr. Pattison <br />has reviewed these revisions and, after seeing the entire elevation, he had agreed that some of his comments were not applicable, but that the <br />changes that have been made were acceptable and would not have to be <br />re-revi.ewed by the Architectural Board. Commission agreed that another <br />. referral to the.Archi'tectural Board would not be necessary. R. Bierman ' <br />moved to approve the proposal.to construct a small addition and change to <br />elevation for Plaza South, Great.Northern Shopping Center, as per the <br />elevation presented by Mr.- Carlisle this evening.and-stamped by the Chairman, <br />as to the square pediznents versus the round pediments originally shown, <br />seconded by T1..Betts, and unanimouslp approved. . <br />IV.
