Boyer; and Clerk of Commissions.B. Oring <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MTNUTES: <br />J. Thomas moved to approve the minutes. of the May 24, 1988 Plannfing Commission . <br />meeting, seconded by R. Bierman, and.unanimously.approved._. <br />III. NEtd DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS.: <br />1) Berard Development Company Subdivision.Preliminary Plan <br />The proposal is to subdivide and create eighty-one.(81) residential <br />sublots west of Bretton Ridge Sub.division between I-480 and the C.E.I. <br />Easement, and includes the extension of Bretton Ridge Drive,.Wellington • <br />Drive and Westminster Drive. Zoning.is "A'.' Residence, Single., <br />(Continued from Plarining Commission May 24, 1988) .. . <br />Mr. Grendell, attorney,, explained, that plan has been made -conforming by <br />eliminating one lot and. extending a_lateral.street., thus. reducin.g the. <br />length of the street between intersections. He presented a, letter from <br />the City of Cleveland, Department of.Public Utilities which addressed <br />the water pressure pr.oblems and read a portion.of.paragraph 3, which - <br />stated "The proposed development in Bretton Ridge.Drive, Wellington <br />Drive, and Westmenster Drive, as well as the industr3a1 nark, no longer <br />need to be held up from proceeding. Their increased domestic demand`"? <br />will..not mate'rially affect pressures in the area.. Adequate fire flows <br />'in the area will be.checked.after the developers submit ISO calculations. <br />Our preliminary estimates indicate that pe-rhaps 2500 gpm.will be-available . <br />in the area after the Cook_Road 16" main is installed.:.," Mr. Morgan <br />explained that.the Co?ission had:met-- recently regarding the industrial <br />park proposal in which?_the_water issue was explaine.d by the administration. <br />City.Engineer Boyer gave the complete schedules of the work being done <br />on the Crown Sprague line extension which will supply the water tower <br />and will maintain the water pressure on the west side of the city; this <br />line will be completed•in December.of 1989.. The Cook Road line is a <br />supply.water main and will-improve:the circulation of the water system <br />and will be comnleted in 1989. Mr.'Morgan advised that the Mayor has. - offered to meet with the residents of Bretton Ridge in order to review <br />the water.situation. Mr. Boyer advised that this p_reliminary plan does <br />conform to code, that-he has contacted the utility companies and C.E.I <br />is considering adding some feeder lines to their service, and that both _ <br />C.E.I and East Ohio Gas 'Company will review the situation.when the im- _ <br />provement plans are-submitted.'.
