Request variance to place solid fenee within 25 foot side yard set back on corner lot. Please note: side yard set back of house is 17 feet from right-of-way. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.06-(a). 10. Gary Case, 5351 Hampton Dr. Request for variance (1123.12). Request variance to place solid fence within 25 foot side yard set back on co mer lot. (Please note: fence is to be lined up with the fence on property to the rear.) Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.06-(a). Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was administered to Mr, and Mrs. Case and Mr. and Mrs. McKernan.- Chairman Remmel stated that the proposed fence will extend from the back of one house to the back of the othex house and will be 17 feet from the right of way. The appli- cants explained that they need the privacy and that they are trying.to prevent any further vandalism. The McKernans wi]:Y be installing a p.obl. They were advised that if tfiey install a pool they wi1T have to enclose it witfi a 6 foot fence. Mr. Bugala believes a privacy screen should be sufficient. B. Grace moved to grant a variance`for both requests to place a 5 foot solid fence within the 25 foot side yard set back on a corner lot at 5354 Devon'and 5351 Hampton Drive, seconded by J. Helon. Roll call,on motion: Grace, Helon, and Remmel, yes. Bugala, no. Motion.passed. Variance granted. 11. Tuffy Muffler, 28256 Lorain Road . Reques.t for variance (1123.12). Req.uest 38 square foot variance.for total sign area to change sign ori existing pole.. Violation af Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06. 'Also request variance for 2=.foot 1 inch encroachment into 3 foot set back area (existing.sign encroaches 10 inches into-set back). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06{f)-4. Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was adininistered?to Mr, Schnitzler, Wagner Sign Company,-who advised that they are changing.their request.since they will be removing some signs on the wall aiid will not need a variance for the total sign area. The,y will now be replacing the sign on the pole sign to their standard logo sign of 50 square feet;;•since the sigii is'a different'_configuration than the existing sign it will encroach . • further into the set liack. The sign is already built, but he might be able -to put it off center on the pole to reduce the encroachment. It was pointed out..that because of-the shape of the sign, only 6'inches of bottom edge would be encroaching. The Board agreed that because ofthe shape of the sign, it would look better-if it were centered on the pole. R.. Bugala moved to grant the 24 inch encroachment upon the 3 foot set back-for Tuffy Mutfler, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously ap.proved.. Variance granted.
