The oath was
administered to Mr. Zaccardelli who explained that he owned two vans, a business
van which contained expensive equipment and one for a handicapped daughter,
neither of which will fit into the attached garage. He explained that his
property is over 2 acres and that the variance includes a p atio on the garage
which will be used as an exercise area for his daughter. The driveway will
be paved. Mr. Bugala is concerned that the patio could be converted into a
room or additional garage area. R. Gomersall moved to approve Mr. Zaccardelli's
request for a 789 square foot variance to construct a detached garage with a.
patio and the variance is conditioned-on the provision that the natio is to
remain a patio without a solid enclosure and that a driveway is to be installed,
seconded by R. The oath.was
administered to Mr. Keuchel who explained that they would be converting the
existing garage to a family room. This will be 6 feet larger than a two car
garage because they need room for storage and is the final stage of their
expansion. Mr. Remmel is concerned because the garage is larger than the
house and there is a oarage door in the back wall. .Mr.. Keuchel stated that
door was planned because he has a riding mower, but he could eliminate it.
Mr. Remmel would prefer the garage be 24 feet wide. Law Director Gareau
pointed out that the garage does not exceed the permitted garage area, that
he is only red.uesti:ng a special perinit,. and that the Board has no jurisdiction
over aesthetics. Mr. Keuchel advised the Board that he was planning.to pave
the driveway. C.
