Request 2 foot side line variance for <br />detached garage and 3 foot variance for distance between house and garage. <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(c)-1. <br />G'hairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. and Mrs. Kozora. Ir?r. Bugala stated that, when he was on <br />the site, he spoke with Mr. Kozora who advised that he did not know that he <br />needed a variance for the distance between the house and garage and offered <br />to moved it back 3 feet. Mr. Kozora stated that he would withdraw the request <br />for the 3.foot variance. R. Bugala moved to grant the 2 foot side line vari- <br />ance for a detached garage for Robert and Christine Kozora, 24195 Maple Ridge <br />Road, seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved. Variance granted <br />3. Lease Vehicle Specialists, Inc. and Suburban Glass and Tire, Inc. <br />23672 and 23674 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 12 sq. ft. variance and location <br />variance for pole sign. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(f)-4. Also <br />request 108.26 total sign area. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Sectiori 1163.06(d). <br />Chairman ?temmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath.was <br />administered to Mr. DeLorenzo, owner, who explained that they would be using <br />the existing pole and are changing the faces of the sign in order to put both <br />business signs on one pole. Building Commissioner Conway explained that when <br />a non-conforming sign is being altered a variance must be obtained eveu if <br />the sign faces merel_y are being changed; the pole s.ign needs a 12 square foot <br />variance; and all the signs on the property required a 108.26 square foot <br />variance. Mr. DeLorenzo advised that when the building alteration proposal <br />was before the Architectural Board of Review, that board suggested that signs <br />be put on the awnings. Chairman Remmel believes that the alterations that <br />have been made are a definite improvement. As for the location of the sign, <br />it was pointed out that the trees on the adjacent lot partially.obscure the <br />sign now. J. Helon moved to grant the 12 square foot variance and location <br />variance for the pole sign an'd to'grant the 108.26 square foot variance for <br />total sign area for Lease Vehicle Specialists, Inc. and Suburban Glass and <br />Tire, Inc., 23672-and 23674 Lorain Road, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously <br />approved. Variances granted. <br />4. Ernest R. Cummings, 5904 Stearns Road. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request location variance for tool shed. <br />Vi:olation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Cummings who explained that they have a 400 foot deep lot <br />and the shed will be behind the garage. The board has no objection to this <br />location.. C. Remmel moved to grant the location variance behind the existing <br />garage for a legal tool shed for Ernest R. Cummings, 5904 Stearns Road, <br />seconded by J. Helon, and unanimously approved.
