The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Hazen, sign contractor. The Board has no objection to <br />the variance. J. Helon moved to grant the variance for 4.71 square feet of <br />sign area for wa11 sign for Sketties Pizza, 26361 Great Northern Shopping <br />Center, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously annroved. Variance granted. <br />9. Robert M. Suhay, sublot 19, Sandniper Lane <br />Heard after item 10. <br />10. Josenh A. Plaso, 5140.Park Lane <br />Request for variance (.1123.12). Request 3 foot rear yard variance for natio <br />enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a). Request 5 inch <br />side yard variance for patio enclosure. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section <br />1161.01. Request 3 foot side yard variance for walkway to deck. Violation <br />of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.0582. Also req_uest 1 foot height variance for <br />fence. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02. Please note: building <br />vermit issued for open deck, no variances required. <br />Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to.Mr. Plaso who explained the walkway would not be covered and <br />that the fence would actuallv be a privacy screen since they need it to screen <br />the deck from the noise ori 1480 as well as to keep a row of trees on the <br />adjacent property from hanging over the walkway. It was explained that a <br />privacy screen had to be at least 5 feet off the property. After some dis- <br />cussion of the plans, it was determined that the fence was to be attached to <br />the walkway and deck so it would actually be 81? feet off the ground, so <br />a 31? foot variance would be required. The Board agreed this would not be <br />acceptable. Mr. Plaso withdrew the request for the fence variance. Board <br />has no objection to the other requests. C. Remmel moved to grant the request <br />for the 3 foot rear yard variance for a pat,io enclosure, a 5-inch side yard <br />variance for-the patio enclosure, and a 3 foot side yard variance for a walk- <br />way to a deck for Mr. Joseph Plaso, 5140.Park Lane, seconded by J.. Helon, <br />and unanimously approved. Variances granted. <br />9. Robert M. Suhay, sublot 19, Sandpiner Lane (heard.at this point) <br />Request for variance (1123.12).. Request 10 foot rear yard variance to <br />construct porch on new dwelling. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.08(a). <br />Chai:rman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />admini.stered to Mrs. Suhay who explained that the porch uiould be screened. <br />Chairman Remmel nointed out that the lot is 92 feet wide. J. Helon moved to <br />approve the request for a 10 foot rear yard variance to construct a porch on <br />a new dwelling for Robert Suhay, sublot 19 Sandniper Lane, seconded by <br />C. Remmel, and unanimously apnroved. Variance granted. <br />11. Alva's Cleaners, 23140 Lorain Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 4.2 square foot variance for total <br />sign area for ground sign insert. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06(d).
