The oath was
administered to Mr. Prybis who explained this garage would be replacing an
existing shed and pointed out that the patio which is under the roof overhang
was included in the square footage. He will be storing a sports car in the
garage, but there will be no driveway. Buildi.ng Commissioner Conway explained
the request was figured on all the garage area on the property. It was
pointed out this is an extremely large lot. C. Remmel moved to grant the
583 square foot-variance for garage area-to construct a 14 b_y 24 foot garage
plus a patio and that the existing shed is to be removed with the condition
that no driveway is being installed, seconded by R. Request 1 foot height variance for nortion
of fence. Violation of Ord. 87-83, Section 1135.02(h)-1.
Chairman Remmel called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to Mrs. Bores who explained that the property sloped.to the rear
and the custom made fence is to be graduated so that it will be even on the
top. Building Commission Conway clarified that the fence would be 6 feet at
the corner of the back and would be graduated on the sides down to 5 feet
within 20 feet from the rear. Since part of the fence is in a swale, Chairman
Remmel.questioned if the city would allow it in the swale. IMr. Conwav advised
that this would be up to the Engineering Department. C. Remmel moved to grant
the request for a 1 foot height variance for a fence across the back and 20
feet forward from the back on each side subject to the Engineering Department's
review of the swale on the side, seconded by R. Bugala, and unanimously approved.
Variance granted.
The Board then withdrew for a caucus to discuss the possibility of accepting
more cases. It was decided that the next meeting would be Wednesday, June 8th
(the second Wednesday of the month) and that the Board would accept 18 cases.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
('Uxl
C.
