? <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MARCH 28, 1989 <br />PAGE 5 <br />Mr. Frank, representing Bentley Coe Associates, advised that all lots are <br />zoned General Retail. Mr. Cesen stated that all figures have been veri- <br />fied by the surveyor. J. Thomas moved to approve the proposal to combine <br />permanent parcels numbers 237-4-6, 237-4-8, 237-4-9, and 237-4-11 into one <br />parcel, for Bentley Coe Associates, property located on the south.side of <br />Lorain Road between Coe Avenue and Bentley Drive, seconded by R. Bowen, <br />and unanimously approved. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: (heard at this point) <br />Chairman Thomas advised that Mr. Lepisto, the Traff Pro representative, would <br />give a report on the Traff-Pro study at this time. City Engineer Cesen <br />explained that the Traff-Pro study was requested by the city in order to study <br />the five most dangerous intersections in the city and he had previously pre- <br />sented to the Commission a report outlining that study. Mr. Lepisto explained <br />that after doing the study they presented the results to the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation, who in turn authorized further study and 90% federal funding <br />for whatever improvements are needed (widening, re-signalization, etc.) for <br />the Country Club and Great Northern Boulevard intersection. The city is <br />responsible for the cost of the Engineering costs and 10% of the cost of the <br />improvements, and he further advised that there is a possiblitiy that 5% of <br />these costs could be picked up by the Ohio Department of Transportation. These <br />improvements could possibly extend from this intersection to Brookpark Road. <br />Mr. Cesen stated that after this intersection is completed the city can apply <br />for funds for the other intersections studied. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />14r. Thomas sent a letter to Mr. DiBenedetto commending him for his prompt <br />action in cleaning up the debris behind Cherandon Plaza. <br />VI. CONIMITTEE REPORTS : <br />Mr. Gorris advised that the Planning. Review Committee did meet two weeks ago.. <br />Mr. Thomas would the the members of the Commission to receive copies of the <br />minutes. Mr. Gorris stated that the minutes merely reflect how the Planner <br />has changed his drafts after the members have addressed them, but he will <br />supply copies. <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS: <br />No items. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Heard above. <br />IX. ADJOURNMENT: <br />J. Thomas moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Bierman, seconded by B.
