PLANNING COMMISSION MAY 9, 1989 PAGE 7
Mr. Gorris wanted to make certain that the earth mounded barrier would
still be installed along the freeway; that the building permits will
not be issued until the water loop is in; and that he is still concerned
about a traffic light especially since Bassett Stearns Road will probably
be going through. Mr. Thomas stated that he did not believe that the
Commission could require the developer to plan for something 8 or 10 years
down the road, but agreed that it would probably be constructed. The
developers agreed that they would try to schedule deliveries so that they
will be during the off peak period; that an officer would be needed mainly
during the time that the concrete trucks are in the area; and that a traf-
fic study could be made at some time near the completion of the development,
at the City Engineer's request. B. Gorris moved to approve the Berard
Development Company Subdivision; Final Plat and Improvements, Cambridge
Crossing Estates, with the recommendation that no building permits be
issued until we are certain that the water situation is corrected and
request that the BZD pay particular attention to the traffic at the
intersection, particularly during the construction period and to recom-
mend that a full time traff ic officer be provided at peak hours during
the construction period at the intersection of Dorchester and Stearns and
request that after the completion of the subdivision at the Engineer's
request another traffic study will be provided by the developer; that a
parking area be provided by the developer so that the workers do not
park on the existing streets, seconded by J. Thomas, and unanimously
approved.
V.
