r <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF BUILDING CODE APPEALS <br />MINUTES-JUNE 14, 1989 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chd.irman Kazak called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: R. Burk, J. Konold, D. Spoerke, B. Schulz, and J. Kazak. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and.Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEta AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Kazak moved to approve the minutes of March 23, 1989, seconded by R. Burk, <br />and unanimously approved. , <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />No items. <br />IV. HEARINGS: <br />1) Jeffrey Neal Martin, 5394 Whitehaven Avenue <br />Request pennission to build on permanent parcel 233-19-29 (S/L 272) <br />Whitehave Avenue. ("C" district, minimum lot 60 foot front required). <br />Hearing required by Ord. 2806 (any house being built on a 1ot with a <br />50 foot front width or less, requires the approval of the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals. <br />Chairman Kazak administered the oath to Mr. and Mrs. Martin. Mr. Martin <br />explained that he owned two 50 foot wide lots, one of them with a house <br />on it and this one is vacant. Building Commissioner Conway suggested that <br />the 18 foot garage could present a problem and suggested that it could <br />be increased to 20 feet and still meet the side line requirements. He <br />pointed out that if there were any changes to this plan, the proposal <br />would have to come back to the Board because of the lot width. Mr. <br />Martin agreed that the 20 foot garage would be pr.eferable. Mr. Spoerke <br />pointed out that a culvert does run through the property. Mr. Martin <br />stated that he has talked with the Engineering Department who advised <br />that he might have to put in a culvert pipe, however, this could not <br />be determined until he presented a survey. No neighbors were present. <br />J. Konold moved to grant permission to Jeffrey Neal Martin to construct <br />a house on permanent parcel 233-19-29 (S/L 272) Whitehaven with the con- <br />dition that there is a 20 foot garage, seconded by D. 5poerke, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Election of officers; <br />R. Schulz moved to nominate R. Burke as chairman, seconded by J. Kazak. <br />J. Kazak moved that nominations be closed, seconded by J. Konold. Mr. Burk <br />was elected chairman unanimously. <br />B. Schulz moved to nominate J. Kazak as vice chiarman, seconded by R. Burk. <br />J. Konold moved that the nominations be closed, seconded by R. Burk <br />Mr. Kazak was elected vice chairman unanimously.
