Gomersall moved to grant the
98 foot front set back variance to construct an attached garage; and a 1,554
square foot variance for the new garage and also to keep the existing 2 story
garage which is to be relocated to the rear of the property; and also to grant
a special permit to add to a non-conforming dwelling (front set back) for
Air. Bugala moved to grant the
continuing 120 square foot variance for a temporary leasing sign for Pheasants
Run Retail Center for Hennie Homes, 28867 Lorain Raad and with the notation
that the sign is to be taken down immediately if the variance does not carry,
seconded by R. Ameritrust, 26091 Brookpark Road (Great Northern Shopping Center).
Request for variance (:1123.12). Request 129°07 square foot variance for sign
area to install signage on new drive-up ATM (adjacent to existing drive through
building). Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1163.06. (Continued from earlier
in meeting).
Chairman Bugala called a11 interested parties before the Board. The oath was
administered to K. Miller, sign contractor, who explained that the bank was
removing one of the drive through installations and replacing it with a drive-
up ATM. The signage is already 102 square feet over the allowed (including the
existing pole sign and the signs on the building). He pointed out that the signs
in question only needed an additional 25 square foot variance. Mr. Conway ques-
tioned the proposal since there will be some "Money Station" signs painted on the
machine. Mr. Miller advised that his company is not responsible for those signs,
only the signs they are installing. Councilman Wilamosky was sworn in at this
time and questioned how these signs would impact on the sign plan proposed by
the owners of the shopping center. Building Commissioner Conway clarified that
only the tenants with over 10,000 square foot stores would be included in the
shopping center's signs. He further stated that he would prefer that the Board
address the painted signs at this time. He further pointed out that some of
this signage might not be seen from a public way and might not be considered as
part of their allowed signage. It was decided that the additional signage would
be 20 square feet which should be added.to the total requested. R. Bugala moved
to grant the 149.07 square foot variance for sign area to install signage on new ..
drive-up ATM (adjacent to existing drive throug building) for Ameritrust, 26091
Brookpark Road, seconded by T.
