. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />r42NUTES - JUNE 7, 1989 <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Present: R. Gomersall, J. Helon, T. Restifo, and R. Bugala <br />Absent: B. Grace <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner Conway and Clerk of Commissions Oring <br />Law Director Gareau arrived shortly after the meeting started. <br />J. Helon moved to accept the Minutes of May 3, 1989 as written, seconded by <br />R. Gomersall, and unanimously approved. <br />Devco Homes, Inc., Sublot 26, 24715 Tara Lynn Drive <br />Request for varianc.e (1123.12). Request 2,5 foot variance for distance <br />between dwellings. Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.07(a). (Continued <br />from meeting of May 3, 1989). <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Devries and his brother who are the contractors. They <br />explained that the house next door was built too,close to the property line <br />and also that the house on the other side only had a 5 foot side set back, so <br />they do not have the distance.required between dwellings, they do have con- <br />forming side yards. . No neighbors were present to protest. T. Restifo moved <br />to grant Devco Homes at 24715 Tara Lynn Drive their request for a 2.5 foot <br />variance for the distance between dwellings, seconded by J. Helon, and unani- <br />mously approved. Variance granted. <br />1. Michael Ldinzig, 6098 Decker Road <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 2 foot side and rear set back variances <br />to construct detached garage (existing detached garage to be demolished). <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(c)1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mr. Winzig; The members had no problem with the request. <br />J. Helon moved to grant the request for a 2 foot side and rear set back vari- <br />ances to construct a detached garage, seconded by R. Gomersall, and unanimously <br />approved. Variances granted. <br />2. Vince Maskey, 24859 Tara Lynn <br />Request for variance (1123.12). Request 44 square foot variance, 4 foot 6 inch <br />height variance (from grade, not deck), and location variance for gazebo (shed). <br />Violation of Ord. 87-93, Section 1135.02(d)-1. <br />Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath was <br />administered to Mrs. Maskey and Mr. Borowske, her contractor, who explained <br />that the drawing they presented to the Building Department showed a floor <br />plan of the gazebo, but the wall section was left outo Since he mailed a <br />check for the permit and did not stop in to pick it up, he was unaware that <br />the gazebo had not been approved with the deck. Mr. Restifo stated that the <br />gazebo is very good looking. R. Gomersall moved to grant the request for a <br />44 square foot•variance, a 4 foot 6 inch height variance, and a location vari- <br />ance for a gazebo for Mr. Vince Maskey at 24859 Tara Lynn, seconded by T. <br />Restifo, and unanimously approved. Variances granted.
