J. Thomas moved that the Commission ` <br />encourage the Law Department to proceed witri litigation against Lauren Hills <br />Plaza for violation of the approved plans, seconded by T. Morgan, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />Chairman Thomas advised that he received a letter from the Clague Road <br />United Church of Christ requesting that changes be made in the restriction <br />to the approval of their parking area. Building Commissioner Conway <br />explained that they cannot assemble all of the parcels involved since one of <br />of them is rental property and cantzot be combined with their tax exempt <br />properties. Mr. Conway explained tha.t there is nothing in the codes that <br />restricts parking across property lines. Since this is merely a change in . <br />the restrictions on the original approval, he suggested that they present it <br />this way rather than include it as an agenda iten. The members had <br />no objection to the request. J. Thomas moved to rescind the requirement to <br />combine the lots for the Clague Road United Church of Christ, seconded by B. <br />Gorris. Roll call on motion: Thonas, Gorris, Betts, Bowen, Morgan, and <br />Orlowski, yes. Mr. Bierman abstained. Motion carried <br />VI. CONINIITTEE REPORTS : <br />No items. <br />VII. NETnl BUSINESS : <br />Mr. Betts advised that Laurels Restaurant at Gessner and Lorain Roads has <br />installed a ring of bright white fluorescent lights around the building and <br />these lights are imdoubtedly shinning into the adjacent homes. Mr. Conway <br />will check. <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS: <br />Regarding the Marjak Development proposal, Mr. Conway advised that he had <br />met with the developers and they did have another proposal that was to be on <br />this agenda, but they have subsequently withdrawn it. <br />Discussion of the revised Mixed Use District restrictions. <br />Members and rir. Dubelko have reviewed the proposal and Mr. Dubelko pointed <br />out several areas to be considered: different minimtun acreage required in <br />"A", "B", and "C" districts; ciifferent height limitations for each Mixed Use <br />District; different green area percentages (more green area for higher <br />buildings): set back of 100 feet for "B" District could be too restrictive. <br />It was decided that this will be discussed at length at the next meeting and <br />should be placed before the other items. , <br />The members will decide on when to take their vacation after Council decides <br />on theirs. <br />IX.
