Great Northern Shopping Center Lot Split <br />The proposal is to subdivide permanent parcel no. 235-27-1 (Great <br />Northern Shopping Center) by splitting off the site of Chi Chi's Mexican <br />Restaurant. Location is the south side of Lorain Road at Brookpark Road. <br />Zoning is Retail Business, General, entirely, and the proposal conforms <br />to the Zoning Code. Mr. Papandreas explained that the Chi Chi's property is part of a land <br />lease agreement and for tax purposes it would be best to split out of <br />the Great Northern parcel to avoid any more problems in the evaluation <br />of this property for taxes. The ownership of the property is not <br />changing. The members questioned when the Tony Roma's parcel was split <br />off from the Great Northern parcel. Mr. Papandreas will look into this. <br />Building Commissioner Conway explained that there would be no problem <br />with the parking since the two lots were owned by the same parties. R. <br />Bierman moved to subdivide permanent parcel rrumber 235-27-1 (Great <br />Northern Shopping Center) by splitting off the site of Chi Chi's <br />Restaurante,.located on the south side-of Lorain Road at Brookpark Road, <br />seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />3) Kennedy Ridge Road Lot Split <br />The proposal is to subdivide sublot no. 4 of the Kennedy Ridge Road <br />Resubdivision and Assembly Plat, approved by Planning Commission.on May <br />8, 1990, into two (2) additional sublots. Location is the north side of <br />Kennedy Ridge Road, west of I-480. Zoning is "B" Residence, Single, <br />entirely, and both proposed sublots conform to the Zoning Code. <br />Assistant City Engineer McDermott explained that this is the center lot <br />of the subdivision that was approvel on May 8, 1990 and is to be <br />subdivided into two lots. J. Thomas moved to approve the subdivision of <br />sublot no. 4 of the Kennedy Ridge Road Re-subdivision and Assembly Plat <br />into two (2) additional sublots, seconded by R. Bowen, and unanimously <br />approved. _ <br />4) William Hayden Assembly Plat - <br />The proposal is to combine permanent parcel nos. 234-7-8 and 9 <br />(previously combined) with permanent parcel no. 234-7-7into one (1) <br />parcel, which is the site of Barlo Plaza, 30572 Lorain Road (this <br />agenda, above)e Location is the north side of Lorain Road, west of <br />Barton Road. Zoning is Retail Business, General, and the proposal <br />conforms to the Zoning Code. <br />This assembly plat was approved tmder Section III. Item 1) Barlo Plaza. <br />V. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter from Building Commissioner Conway regarding the Lauren Hill <br />emergency access drive which stated that.Safety Director Gundy has requested <br />that the issue of barricading this drive be brought before the Commission. <br />Mr.Conway explained that because of Assistant Law Director Dubelko's <br />comments that the City would not be liable if this drive were barricaded, <br />Mr. Gundy would like the Commission to consider requiring that access to <br />this drive be restricted in order to keep delivery trucks from using it. <br />After some discussion, members agreed that . their 'intent was to limit this <br />drive for.emergency use only and should be enforced, but they do not believe <br />that barricading the drive was the answer.
