<br />s <br />CITY OF NORTH OLNLSTID <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - JUNE 26, 1990 <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Betts. R. Bierman, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, L. Orlowski, and <br />J. Thomas. <br />Absent: R. Bowena <br />Also Present: Assistant Law Director Dubelko, City Engineer Deichmann, City <br />Engineer McDermott, and Clerk of Commissions Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />T. Morgan moved to approve the Planning Commission minutes of June 12., 1990, <br />seconded by M. Betts, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMIIVT REQUESTS: <br />1) Kaiser Med Center Building, 25757 Lorain Road <br />Proposal to construct second dumpster enclosure. <br />Mr. Kocsis, property manager, e:xplained that when the building was <br />purchased the dumpsters were autside, but after they received a citation <br />they learned that they were supposed to be inside the building. They <br />are now proposing a 6 foot board on board fence and gate that will <br />enclose the dumpster on all four sides and will be placed on the rear of <br />the property. It was clarified that there will only be one enclosure, <br />not two as indicated on the agenda. The members had no problem with the <br />proposal. B. Gorris moved to approve the proposal to construct a <br />enclosure for the relocated diunpsters at the Kaiser Med Center Building, <br />25757 Lorain Road, seconded by T. Morgan, and tmanimously approved. <br />2) North Olmsted Parks and Recreation Department, Barton-Bradley Soccer <br />Fields. <br />Proposal to construct picnic shelter. (Withdrawn from meeting of <br />June 12, 1990.) <br />Mr. Fattler explained that some of the Commissions questions had been <br />referred to the appropriate departments. There are plans to add parking <br />on the North side of the road at a future date. Some of the existing <br />parking on the south side of the road is being improved somewhat in <br />preparation for this weekend's tournament. The Service Department, <br />under the direction of the Safety Department is adding some crosswalks, <br />warning si.gns and barriers to attempt to direct people to the <br />crosswalks. After July 9th construction of ditches will be started and <br />after they are completed work can be started on the parking area on the <br />west side of the house and some fencing will be added. In response to <br />questions, Mr. Fattler explained that the city does provide some <br />crossing gua.rds, but the tournaments are really a function of a separate <br />1 ? . ..
