ROLL CALL: Chairman Thomas called the meeting to.order at 8:00 p.m. Present: M. Betts, R. Bierman, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, L. Orlowski, and J. Thomas. Absent: R. Bowen. Also Present: Assistant City Law Director Dubelko, City Engineer Deichmann, Building Commissioner Conway, Assistant City Engineer McDermott, and Clerk of Commissions Cring. I.I. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: Mr. Morgan pointed aut that he and Mr. Betts were absent at the last meeting and there was no motion to excuse. Include in minutes under section IX. J. Thomas moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Betts and Mr. Morgan, seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. B. Gorris moved to approve the minutes of September 11, 1990 with the noted correction, seconded by J. Thomas, and unanimously approved. III. BUILDING DEPARTMIIVT REQUESTS: 1). Brendan Lane Shopping Center, 23609 to 23657 Lorain Road. Proposal to construct building. Heard by the Architectural Review Board on September 19, 1990. Mr. Draeger, architect, presented revised plans which reflect the recommendations of both the P1arLn;ng Commission and the Architectural Review Board: landbanked parking spaces are shown; additional landscaping has been included; one ground sign will replace two pole signs; electric meters will be enclosed; gas meters will be moved to back (if gas company agrees); and . rnunbers and varieties of plants are shown.. He explained that.the original ground sign was shown with a total of 40 square feet, but.has now been . enlarged to 40 square feet per side which conforms to code. The parcels . were assembled at the last meeting. The members have no problem with.the . revisions. J. Thomas moved to approve the revision dated September 24, 1990 for the Brendan Lane expansion and we will refer the new revised design to the .BZD Committee of Council, seconded by B. Gorris, and tuianimously . approved. 2) Nutron Nameplate, 31269 Lorain Roact. - Proposal to construct an addition. Mr. R. Butchko, owner, presented plans for the addition which will be for manufacturing, storage and light assembly of their product. He explained that some of their customers are asking that their labels be put into a kit form so that various labels for each product is together. Mr. Morgan has concerns because of the drainage shown that goes into the sewers and believes that these plans should be referred to the Fire Department or who - 1
