ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Thomas called the meeting to.order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: M. Betts, R. Bierman, B. Gorris, T. Morgan, L. Orlowski, and <br />J. Thomas. <br />Absent: R. Bowen. <br />Also Present: Assistant City Law Director Dubelko, City Engineer Deichmann, <br />Building Commissioner Conway, Assistant City Engineer <br />McDermott, and Clerk of Commissions Cring. <br />I.I. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />Mr. Morgan pointed aut that he and Mr. Betts were absent at the last meeting <br />and there was no motion to excuse. Include in minutes under section IX. J. <br />Thomas moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Betts and Mr. Morgan, seconded by <br />B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. B. Gorris moved to approve the minutes <br />of September 11, 1990 with the noted correction, seconded by J. Thomas, and <br />unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMIIVT REQUESTS: <br />1). Brendan Lane Shopping Center, 23609 to 23657 Lorain Road. <br />Proposal to construct building. <br />Heard by the Architectural Review Board on September 19, 1990. <br />Mr. Draeger, architect, presented revised plans which reflect the <br />recommendations of both the P1arLn;ng Commission and the Architectural Review <br />Board: landbanked parking spaces are shown; additional landscaping has been <br />included; one ground sign will replace two pole signs; electric meters will <br />be enclosed; gas meters will be moved to back (if gas company agrees); and . <br />rnunbers and varieties of plants are shown.. He explained that.the original <br />ground sign was shown with a total of 40 square feet, but.has now been . <br />enlarged to 40 square feet per side which conforms to code. The parcels . <br />were assembled at the last meeting. The members have no problem with.the . <br />revisions. J. Thomas moved to approve the revision dated September 24, 1990 <br />for the Brendan Lane expansion and we will refer the new revised design to <br />the .BZD Committee of Council, seconded by B. Gorris, and tuianimously . <br />approved. <br />2) Nutron Nameplate, 31269 Lorain Roact. - <br />Proposal to construct an addition. <br />Mr. R. Butchko, owner, presented plans for the addition which will be for <br />manufacturing, storage and light assembly of their product. He explained <br />that some of their customers are asking that their labels be put into a kit <br />form so that various labels for each product is together. Mr. Morgan has <br />concerns because of the drainage shown that goes into the sewers and <br />believes that these plans should be referred to the Fire Department or who - <br />1
