Request 37.67 square foot variance for one
side of pole sign: request 3 foot setback variance for location of pole sign;
request variance to have 2 pole signs on property; and request 191.3 square
foot variance for total sign area. Violations of Ord. 87-93, Sections
1163.06(f)4; and 1163.06(d).
Request.continued fron meeting of October 3, 1990.
Chairman Bugala called all interested parties before the Board. The oath Naas
administered to Mr. Harma, engineer from Marathon, who explained that they are
proposing to remove 185 square feet of existing signage in an attempt to get
the 37.67 square foot variance for the second pole sign which will have a
reader sign to replace an existing pole sign. Building Commissioner Coniaay
clarified that one of the pole signs on the property was.a sign attached to a
light pole and it was to be removed. Bugala moved
to accept the variance for a 37.67 square foot variance for one side of a pole
sign and a 3 foot set back variance for the location of the pole sign, and the
request for the variance for two pole signs is negated on the basis that all
of the sigaage will be taken off the remaining pole sign, and will grant
whatever total square foot variance is necessary as designated by the Building
Commissioner, seconded by J. Helon. Roll call: Bugala, Helon, Gomersall, and
Restifo, yes. Mr. Grace abstained. Variances granted.
1
